We had Wine People asking for red wine appellations, so we made it. Please also look for video that we will make for each of the grapes. Good luck with your studies.
@@thirstyandwise There are three schools in my region (Rheinhessen, Rheingau) that offer WSET in person and online and I prefer "live" courses to online, so I will do it here.
@@thirstyandwise Hello!! It has been a minute since I have been here. A couple quick questions. #1 (not a question) I passed Level 2 (wines) with Distinction :-) and in no small part due to your videos which helped me immeasurably! THANK YOU! I have now officially started Level 3 (insert loud scream of fear here hahaha) so my question is: do you by chance work privately with people and if so, is it for specific parts or any of the curriculum? Thx :-)
@@michaelwiseman7377 CONGRATULATIONS!!! It is a privilege to be part of your wine way. I do private studies. Please let me know what is your plan, when do you start L3, where, when is the exam, do you need more assistance with tasting (L3 there is a tasting part of the exam), theory? Send me an email to info@thirstyandwise.com

@@simonjds4960 thank you for your question. When I say region, I mean whole region like Rioja. When I say appellation, I mean small geographical area (appellation) like sub-region, village, vineyard which are more important in France for example. What is important for L2 to understand is PDO and PGI. Stay Thirsty and Wise
Joven is not subjected to any aging and are meant to be consumed while young/upon release. Please make me understand why your answer was Joven and not Crianza. Thank you.
Thank you for watching the video. What I said is that Joven indicates wines that are not aged, and other labeling terms Crienza, Riserva and Grand Riserva indicates wines aged in barrel and bottle.

For many of the Spanish appellations like rioja you always call them regions. Why ?
