Need to read this one badly. The way my pile of unread Nigerian writers is growing out of control is insane. Great review thank you for sharing Rachel.

You should read The Color Purple. The writing style fabulously illustrates the narrators growth and education through improved language skills.

This book is a must read!!! I am on chapter 41 right now. I picked up this book somewhere in Windhoek, Namibia. The broken English kind of drew me back home, reminding me of my background. Thank you very much Abi Dare.

@@forwardtelevisionwithlilia5636 It was the broken English for me too. In all, it really touched some delicate themes and I would advise everyone to read it.

    This is really beautiful.
Reading every page of Abi Darr's Book:
"The Girl with a LOUDING VOICE" is really relating.
    Very Powerful Narration and StoryLine.
I consider it as an asset - An asset to all young nigerian girls to bear witness with their awful but untold experiences.
It will serve as a partner to comfort people who are passing through similar situations.
In another face, I think it os also an emotional documentation of the hopes of many young girls who have been "trafficked" and "sold" i to domestic labour.
Also, I love the creativity with which the plot is birthed, articulated and steered throughout the novel.
One of the major situations where this takes effect is when Big Madam was first mentioned.
You'd agree with me that the most prominent idea that would pop I to the ki d of an average nugerisn reader is that of a Fat unscrupulous and lording woman who is a merchant of sex-workers.
My imagination was tricked when I realized that Big Madam was actually a buyer in the business of child labour.
I like the new perspective she introduces.
It's my topic for Final Year Project. I love Virtually everything about the Book.
Thank you for the review. It helps a lot.
