As a Mets fan for me it was very special having Rickey in the 99 season. He really anazed me. My couple times behind the dugout I saw Rick. Most notably October 3rd 1999 The very next day Rickey hits 2 home runs in the 1 game playoff against the reds including a lead off jack. That memory that day behind the mets dugout with Rickey Henderson Jerry Seinfeld Kurt Russell Bobby valentine.💌. Oh what wonderful memories I was just a 19 year old kid that drove from nj spent the whole day in flushing and always had the time of my life. I cherish these memories 💪😀
I grew up in the Bay Area and am old enough to have seen Rickey in his early years with the Billy Ball A’s and then later with the Bash Brothers. He along with Reggie Jackson were my favorite players. I will always have those great memories of sitting in the bleachers at the Coliseum and watching Rickey with those A’s teams. RIP.
Rickey was special, fun to watch and he had fun doing it. Forever became a fan when I first saw him in 1990 with the As. Unbelievable talent, a real 5 tool player. Breaks my ❤ that he’s gone but never forgotten. Love these classic stories from former teammates of his. R.I.P. Rickey
I haven't heard the car story before, made me smile. Love Ricky, he along with Reggie are my favorite all time players. I was truly stunned when I heard the news.
Maybe Amazon will make one like they did for Reggie (my favorite play along with Ricky) & Barry Sanders, who was the best back I've ever seen. Sweetness is a close second.
At the age of nine I started talking in the third person because that's what Ricky Henderson did at the age of 10 I started switching my back gloves when I got the first base because that's what Ricky did when I was in Middle School I broke the stolen base record cuz that's what Ricky did rip a legend I always wanted to be as good as Ricky, but now that I'm an adult I know that's impossible there is only one Ricky Henderson

Ricky needs to have a book of quotes and stories from his former teammates and surrounding friends. Like Yogisms but Rickyisms
I would buy it.
Rickey Henderson was awesome
So true. I think everyone has a Rickey story including me

Two of my top 5 favorites. I got to see Rickey play now nd then at games. It was like watching Aaron, Mays, Mantle or Ruth.
He was the best that ever was and he is the equivalent to Yogi Barrera when it comes to famous quotes.
Legends never die.
So good!! The player, the stories, and the stats!
‘Not going out there!’
‘What kind of car is it?’
😁😂
Rip Rickey. He loved baseball To the max... our generation version of willie mays swag!

One of the BEST to do it in baseball RIP #24
I remember going to A's games as a kid, sitting in the left field bleachers for 1$. Rickey would talk to the fans between pitches.
Big fan of both Cliff and Rickey. RIP Rickey. LGM
I'd definitely take a Rickey doc.
