I’ve been stitching since 1980. The interest began when I was a pitcher in collage and was put in the hospital with Ulcerative Colitis. I am now 52. My wife died of Cystic Fibrosis, my daughter just graduated from college and my 17 year old son is a Jr in Highschool. I was married to my wife for 25 years and cross stitching was a God sent. I wish some how I could show you the amount of stuff I’ve collected throughout the years. And the stitches I have completed. I’m the only man I know that stitches. For 25 years my wife would be in and out of the hospital 3 times a year and stitching was soooo wonderful during those quiet stressful times. I’m glad I found you channel and shall subscribe. Hope it was ok to share. I am a bit shy about stitch as man also think they shouldn’t cry either lol
Thank you so much for sharing your story! I have been crossstitching for a while now. It truly is the best stress reliever and just over all fun hobby. I am so happy others love it as much as I do!
I really enjoyed your organization video!! "IF" you ever want to easily remove the permanent marker from your containers.... scribble over it with dry erase marker.. then wipe it away and it will be gone.. usually works for most plastics that have been written on with sharpies ans such! Big Hugz from AZ!
To erase permanent marker on plastic get a dry erase marker and scribble on it then wipe with paper towel. repeat as needed and it usually takes all the permanent marker off for the smoother surfaces ♥
I like that you kept the floss in skeins instead of winding them on bobbins. I agree that it takes too much time, and I find that the floss gets too kinked after being stored on bobbins for a long time. Those double-sided storage containers look super useful.
Yes I agree that putting the thread on spoils is just not efficient for me. It would be way too much time and this way works so well. The double sided containers are at most craft stores!

Thank you for watching! Another great way to remove the marker is simple use nail polish remover. Comes right off. Thank you for the support

Agreed! You are so cute! Thank you so much for sharing!!! Where did you find the organizer bin for $1.99?
The small bins are at Walmart, the big double sided ones are at hobby lobby and Michaels
Are they all cross stitch, or other stitches like running stitch, French knots etc.?
I always just simple do the cross stitch-I’m not sure what a running stitch is and I suck at French knots. I’m sorry I’m not more help
No problem.
Why don't you organize the threads by DMC number? Wouldn't they be easier to find?
Actually if you watch a my newer “how I organize” video I do re-organize the thread by color and numbers.
ok, I'll take a look. Thanks for getting back to me.
