Hi Ryan you will have a never ending supply of Jade trees, I have one that came from my mother in laws large plant, must be at least 45 years ago but I have kept it small ever since, to look at it you would have no idea how old it is, to me it is sentimental reminder of the most fantastic in-laws any one could wish for. Problem is you will have so many you will be sick of the sight of them after a while because you will have to keep them indoors over winter, I gave my friend a small forest made from cutting she managed to almost kill them by over watering them, they need to be on the dry side, the more you hold back on the water they will reduce leaf size, when I see that the leaves are just starting shrivel it is time to give them a good soak and that’s it for maybe 3 weeks or so. Good luck with yours mate.
I know Joe m8, thats why i bined the rest of them lol..good to see you have one after 45 years thats class m8 well done. I have Scott to keep right with them he said they don't like much water. Come the winter i probley kill them lol
Ever since I saw Nigel Saunders butcher his jade I knew I could keep it alive! The problem with Jade is once you prune the first you soon have them growing in every part of the house. This year I am actually selecting just a few and the rest are going into compost - I just dont have the indoor space. That will make a cannny wee forest Ryan :)
loved the video I was given a Jade and now have a few in pots of them thanks to cuttings the main one i'm treating as pre bonsai will be interesting working on the shape seeing them as a forest is an idea i'd not thought of
Great sign!! Scott gave you some nice thick jades!! Even I have some of Scott's cuttings!! They spread like herpes! 😇😇 I love them! The Jades I mean!!🤣 You will the hang of Jades... So you say you can't kill it??? What if I left mine out in the rain (all day rain)?
over watering will kill it, but cutting it back wont lol
