I liked this layout except for the ceiling height as he mentioned. Also, I wonder if he could have flipped that vanity & pocket door 180 degrees so it was in the bathroom?

I live in Vancouver and we probably will never have tiny homes here. Besides lane way homes. But tiny homes would be cool in the city.

Basic simple tiny house or out-house should be allowed because not everyone can afford to a regular house to call home and stay safe. Please allow basic tiny home for everyone to be able to have a home and be safe in Canada. The regulations of building permit are not fair and not kind.
Isn't this illegally parked? We don't allow tiny homes in BC anywhere. I dont remember this being legal on the island. Its cool but I wouldnt want to have to deal with suddenly having yo find a new spot to park it if I get caught.

Tiny homes are opportunities. Many TH have different options - bedrooms, kitchens & LR (OR especially). Some of us actually cook, bake & have company!
Most places in BC tiny homes are illegal despite the massive housing crisis we are experiencing

That's why he kept his on a trailer I'm sure. I would do this but I don't want to deal with having to suddenly move to another illegal location while also dealing with life and work.
Yes, seems a missed opportunity to help ease the high cost of housing causing massive stress for a significant number of people, and especially single folk like this man.
Even his plan he mentioned about living in this if he buys a property and builds a new house on it is not allowed in B.C. That rule may or may not get enforced but it’s the same as this situation, you never know if some day bylaw enforcement starts fining you.

I didn't understand the vanity with the sink in the living room.
