I’ve mentioned your channel is far and away my favorite gardening channel. Not monetized, no garden crew, not a huge property but the beauty and imagination transports me to another level. I look forward to every video. Thank you.
I am curious if you will keep watching Moxie Gardens if he gets a large amount of subscribers and had the opportunity to expand? Because I hope he does. I hope he gets millions of subscribers and can afford to buy a large piece of land where we can watch his talent expand to the fullest. I wish him every possible succes, and will be thrilled for him, just ad I was when Laura and Aaron went from a duplex with a backyard smaller than my house, to what they have now. It makes my soul happy to see people's dreams come true.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with monetized videos and land expansion. We should always wish success for YT’ers who spend their time and money for our entertainment. The more money they make, the more they can invest in their videos, the more we have things to watch.
@@ninalovett7839- I absolutely agree with you , there is nothing wrong with monetizing, crews, etc but my point is that Mike does everything himself. All of it and that’s my only point, my opinion. He’s an amazing artist.
If you ever got to the point that you were eligible or wanted to monetize your channel there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! You are a gifted landscape artist and builder and you deserve any monetary benefits that come your way. All of this costs money, even with diy and repurposed materials. Also, I found your channel a few weeks ago and it’s been such an inspiration and pleasure to watch💕
Your garden is just stunning! Great job on your new project. A window box would bring interest to the window on the left. But really you should do what makes you happy. That is what really matters!
I suggest if you haven’t gotten your chickens, yet that you consider silkies. I have a vegetable and flower gardens. Both of which your average backyard chicken will destroy. If you want to allow your chickens out of their coop and have them wander freely, silkies will not destroy your gardens. I have a section of the yard that is totally off limits to my dogs and to the chickens until this summer the dogs are still out but I have several silky chickens that run the yard and I’ve not lost one flower plant to the birds. I am now in the process of expanding my silkies and later on eliminating the larger birds. The ones that destroy everything. Silkies are the Way to go. And with your whimsical fairytale garden, they will fit right in. Hopefully this message gets to you before you purchase your chickens. Please do a little research on them first. Good luck.
You are so right about doing research on the breeds first. When he was talking about planting beautiful climbing vines to soften the appearance of the coop, I thought uh-oh.
Oh my goodness! You are such an artist and gifted builder. My start with watching gardening channels was with GA when it was relatable to me. They're obviously making a fortune for themselves, but I rarely watch anymore. You, on the other hand, are genuine and inspire me so much. My garden will never be the magical canvas as yours. Moxie Gardens for the WIN!!! I love your videos!!!
I agree about GA. I love what they do but for me it isn’t reality. I found myself getting depressed because I couldn’t do my garden to the scope of what is done there. I love to watch gardening on a much smaller budget friendly scale. I just recently found this channel and so far I am loving the content.
Hi! Wanted to share my take on GA since I watch them too. I like that they have no drama content and I don’t mind seeing a completely different scale from my .17 acre property. They have a ton of very usable tips and very informative. It gives me inspiration that they’re simple humans like everyone else who put their minds and hands to work and doing something with the property they have. Just amazing that if only people have the will to do something and they get at it and persist-where they can end up in life. Too many lazy ppl out here these days who do nothing with what little or much they have. I mean look at all of my neighborhood-just a few do something with their yard. None of it has to cost a fortune. Grow your plants from seed packets and shop “free” section of Craigslist and you can get so far! Anyways, I like to expose my imagination to different types of gardening and learn from all and take something home. Eventually I’ll end up somewhere with it.
@@olgabykov2630 To each their own. I garden on my 2 acres alone. I don't have anyone to pull my weeds, or tractors galore, and I don't sell tools etc. How they're unrelatable to me is that there's more selling on their channel than any other. A tree haul for me is a five foot tree sticking out the back of my trunk. I don't see the imagination on their channel that I do on Moxie Gardens. We all measure what brings us joy differently.
I have such mixed feelings about GA these days. On the one hand, I absolutely love seeing folks be able to achieve unbelievable affluence doing what they love. Especially such good and genuinely nice people as Laura and Aaron. I also love the fact she’s inspired and taught thousands (if not more) new gardeners. That said, she’s a commercial gardener now, not a home gardener. It’s hard to find relevance to what we regular folks face in our gardens. I miss the days of her in her townhouse garden doing home gardening videos. I still watch daily, though, and enjoy seeing them live their American dream. Moxie Gardens is a lot like what GA used to be, and I love that so much. ❤️
Great job!! A flower box on the higher window would be cute. Your imagination and hard work knows no bounds. We really appreciate any videos you are able to post
This is stunning!!!! I absolutely love this project. That color yellow is perfect. Your creativity is so inspiring. What I have learned from you is that there is always room if you can dream it up. Your garden is creative and a beautiful place to be in. ❤❤
This is a very great way to block out the neighbors ! I myself could never live in town, but you do an excellent job of disguising the fact that you do live in town ! 😊💐💚🙃
Did a search for garden tours and found your video. I’ve done a lot of garden tours in KC and Johnson County and would have loved to visit yours, so thank you for sharing. As a recent retiree, I'm working on transforming my yard and got so much inspiration from your channel!
Hen house art piece in my opinion. I feel like you may not want to repeat someone else's work but your idea might be repeated. Great job! You're garden is beautiful.. like a walk about oasis..

A big follower here from Boston. I wished the yellow door was a glass door that you could peak and see through inside. I believed it would create an illusion of some depth to your garden. Just a suggestion.
Great job Mr Moxie. What a brilliant project you are a true craftsman. I like the combination of the cedar shakes and the corrugated metal accented roof. That cock-doodle-Inn is 5 stars. So enjoy your videos, thank you and have a blessed day.
Like so many of your viewers (and you mention it here) that Moongate was what first drew me to your channel. But I stayed for the amazing things you do. Your yard is something that 99% of us can only DREAM about. It's incredible what one can do with imagination - and TALENT (I mean, wow; not anyone can just walk out back and construct a magical chicken coop). I'd never want to leave this place. And I sent Laura a note telling her how she's inspired you, with a link to this video - maybe she'll become a fan!
OMG…that is SO CUTE! I’m a suburban gal…definitely not into rustic, but your little hobbit coop is so cute, it’s got me smiling ear to ear. Janey on her Dig, Plant, Water, Repeat channel just got silkies…might be fun to watch. Question on the chickens though, my neighbor got chickens and we all got a roach infestation…fortunately our HOA put a stop to it, but everyone fought roaches for a year. Is that normal?
I don’t think that I would ever spend time in the house, I would always be in the garden, your garden not mine. Better way of saying that is if I lived there I would never be inside I would ALWAYS be in the garden during the summer months ! 💐💚🙃
I look forward to your show every week. I miss not being able to have access to my yard since I sold my house and live in a duplex rental. Only potted plants. Keep creating it's such a joy you share your talent.

Mike you 'ol dog - you've done it again! Great job. The chicken palace is so cool. Your creativity knows no bounds! Have you ever considered putting on some big old rusty hinges on the chicken palace door or the hobbit door? That would be cool. If you don't think a rose will work maybe a clematis would be nice - if it gets enough sun. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mike well you did it again 🤯😊my first thaught as the roof was complete was goodbye neighbors 😂 ultimate privacy!! This is beautiful and your carpentry skills are great your brother did a beautiful job on the door piece too love how you can look through the moon gate to this.Edan rose is a wonderful climber disease resistant however don't know about beetles.Jesse is right it's a castle.great footage too Jesse.Happy 4th to you all 🕊️💚🇺🇲
Mike, this project was absolutely worth the wait. This is the most beautiful chicken coop I have seen of any you tuber. You mentioned Laura from Garden Answer. Her chicken coop is really nice but I have to say this is a chicken castle just like Jesse said. I love how the door mimics the moon gate . You did such a great job of hiding this project from view while revealing the Hobbit house . I cannot wait to see how you will continue to add more whimsy and to see inside once the hens are inside. Those hens are going to be so happy inside their castle 🙂
Where have you been all of my utube life? I just retired last October and am trying to figure out how to grow a garden now. I have 5 hens and a cute coop - but no idea how to landscape around it. Lots of shade and woods. You are gifted and creative! Deb (Eloise's daughter)
I like the way you filmed & edited this. Love the birds singing. I have a similar open- neighbor-behind-me situation. You have given me inspiration to use my imagination & creativity in beautiful problem solving ideas! Great video. Love hearing your thought process!
I love the sight of my chickens in my garden, poking out from under bushes. However, they do scratch the ground. I would suggest like others smaller breeds like silkies or bantams.
So enjoy your channel. I love your chicken castle! The round door reminds me of a hobbit house. All you need is a roof garden. You and Bryan at Next Level Gardening both share that she sense of whimsical gardening. Thank you for recognizing Laura at Garden Answer. She has inspired so many peopled and I have learned so much from her and the other garden influencers who have followed after her. Can't wait to see your new chickens and what you name them!
You are an INSPIRATION to all of us! GORGEOUS design. I love the chicken coop idea. A bee house is a great idea if the chickens don’t pan out. You are so creative and a very hard worker. Japanese beetles killed all my roses so I gave up on roses. Perhaps a climbing vine over an arbor by the bridge would be a good substitute. THANK YOU for sharing your yard with us all ❤❤
It's wonderful and very peaceful. It doesn't really matter what other people think. It's what makes you and your wife happy. Love seeing a garden closer to where I Live. I am in northwest Oklahoma.
I’ve mentioned your channel is far and away my favorite gardening channel. Not monetized, no garden crew, not a huge property but the beauty and imagination transports me to another level. I look forward to every video. Thank you.

I come here for inspiration on a smaller scale. I'm so glad I found your channel!
Where have you been all of my utube life? I just retired last October and am trying to figure out how to grow a garden now. I have 5 hens and a cute coop - but no idea how to landscape around it. Lots of shade and woods.
You are gifted and creative!
Deb (Eloise's daughter)
YOU ROCK, I'm in awe by your creativity so AWESOME can't wait to see what you do next.
This is amazing! Your garden is beautiful!
I absolutely adore your chook house!!💖💖💖
I like the way you filmed & edited this. Love the birds singing. I have a similar open- neighbor-behind-me situation. You have given me inspiration to use my imagination & creativity in beautiful problem solving ideas! Great video. Love hearing your thought process!
Your garden is absolutely beautiful is a. Great job those tall trees accented by tall, narrow evergreens. Love the chicken coop.
I love the sight of my chickens in my garden, poking out from under bushes. However, they do scratch the ground. I would suggest like others smaller breeds like silkies or bantams.
Wow! Just wow! Got a wee bit of Hobbiton vibe. Magical.
I love it ❤ my backyard is also a fairy garden full of cement gnomes and fairies etc so I love this theme
Good luck with the chickens. They are fun. Your coop looks amazing.
Not a carpenter? That looks amazing! How about a rustic bench below the windows or window boxes?
It’s a Chicken Cottage! 🐓
Ultimately 😂 I think you’re going to have the best garden in Kansas!
I see what you did there 🤣🤣🤣
@@moxiegardens8033 😂
Magical !!
Very cute and imaginative! 💐💚🙃
I have followed you for about a year now. You have done an amazing job with your yard. The chicken coop was an awesome idea.
That is amazing you are so talented. Your garden is so
Magical.
