Thrill of violence is a common theme explored by the English writer J.G.Ballard who explored the dark side of English communities in Kingdom Come and High Rise.He was extraordinarily prescient about mob violence inspired by "othering" of newcomers . He even prophesied the coming of a Nigel Farage leader type who promoted phoney nostalgia to forge a patriotic movement to forment violence.
Now if we can get all the rest of the British (based abroad) mainstream media to admit it, we might actually stand a chance of having a meaningful media in this country at some point. Not holding my breath.
So not reporting stuff like the stabbing of innocent little girls from a person who came from an immigrant family and settled by the corrupt Tory or labour government’s policy?
Here’s the rub: does media give the public what they want (pluralistic view) or do they dictate the content which will maintain them in a position of power (hegemonic or Marxist view)? 🤔
Media ownership seems to dictate the tone in print and electronic form. Broadcasting gave way to narrow-casting. A homeless migrant was sentenced for pushing someone on a tube platform onto the track. The headlines read, "Homeless man sentenced" or "Migrant sentenced" depending on the paper.
I urge the working people of England to opt out of their work place pensions in protest of the attack on free speech & the labeling us as far right. This is the only tax we have control over.

But the dichotomy in terms of the police arrests (Southport) vs taking the knee (BLM) is notable. It is right and proper that politician should ask questions. Farage is a politician. Thus his questions are as valid as anyone elses.
These riots have come at exactly the right time for the new Liebour government. Introducing - as they always do - new social control laws, the rioting gives them the option to clamp down on protest or dissent of ANY kind.

What's wrong with holding an English flag?
Its not collectivism.
That immediatly upon holding it things get thrown.
700, is that all?
don't forget to mention 8th school this month in gaza
And why would Gaza horrors be mentioned in a segment about thuggery in Britain? Disinformation about a Southport "Muslim" started all of this.
Now if we can get all the rest of the British (based abroad) mainstream media to admit it, we might actually stand a chance of having a meaningful media in this country at some point.
Not holding my breath.
No chance
So not reporting stuff like the stabbing of innocent little girls from a person who came from an immigrant family and settled by the corrupt Tory or labour government’s policy?

@@ascgazzRight! It's in the mindset.. Hope must be kept.
Here’s the rub: does media give the public what they want (pluralistic view) or do they dictate the content which will maintain them in a position of power (hegemonic or Marxist view)? 🤔
This question is almost incoherent. Are you asking whether different media outlets have different views on immigration?
Media ownership seems to dictate the tone in print and electronic form. Broadcasting gave way to narrow-casting. A homeless migrant was sentenced for pushing someone on a tube platform onto the track. The headlines read, "Homeless man sentenced" or "Migrant sentenced" depending on the paper.
I urge the working people of England to opt out of their work place pensions in protest of the attack on free speech & the labeling us as far right. This is the only tax we have control over.
But not ALL the working people, right? 😉 👏🏾

Yes. Sort of.
Okay?
@@subcitizen2012 Okay...
Looters loot, whether the protests are on the right about eg immigration or on the left / BLM and Palestine.
The then provides the freedom to introduce any laws they like, safe in the knowledge that no legal protest can be held…👍

British and Irish people. Rioting is playing into their hands. It's then easy for them to label us as far right and thugs.
What i suggest is a program of passive resistance non violent protest such as strikes, go slows, boycotts, sit ins etc
The left have been using these tactics for decades to push through their demands with great success.
We MUST learn from them, we must ORGANISE.
If stopping and reversing mass immigration matters to you we must EDUCATE ourselves and ORGANISE and COLLABORATE to achieve our aims
The difference is to which you seem utterly deluded to , is that your in the massive minority . To do what you describe you need a majority. Most ppl want their lives to be a success and don’t make excuse after excuse when they face challenges. If anything you should be fighting against the lack of civil mobility available to poor communities of all ethnicities.
