Actually, when you wiggle the piercing and let the tea tree oil on the inside, it harshly dries out the inside of the piercing which you don’t want. When I used the tea tree oil to treat my piercing, I put a little drop on my finger and just applied it on the outside of the keloid. Then I would take a bit of homemade sea salt paste and put it on top of the tea tree oil. I left it for 20 min and then just wiped it off. Got rid of mine in 2 days. Do it in the morning and at night.

Those kind of bumps that form are actually not keloids. Keloids are different and WILL NOT go away without a medical professional. What she had and what many people experience with their piercings are actually not keloids but hypertrophic scarring like she mentioned

I applied coconut oil on the infected area and applied turmeric powder on keloid I did not wet that area for two days . Later I washed and cleaned that area and repeated the same procedure daily . And peel off the dead skin on keloid and apply oil and turmeric 👌😘

Hi, Laurie. This was a great video. I'll try your remedy. I did four piercings in my ears, and I developed that in both ears. The piercings are totally healed as I did them in December, but they never disappear. When I put my earrings on, it's difficult to find the hole, and there's a transparent liquid which goes out from it. Then my ears hurt a bit. When I remove them at night, it is bigger and irritated, and more liquid goes out. In some cases, there's a bit of blood too. As my ears hurt, then I don't wear earrings for four or five days, and the ears get better. But then the same happend again, I don't find the holes and when I put earrings, they get irritated. After seven months, it still happens.
I hope that your remedy works. Thanks again. I found your channel recently and I subscribed because I think that your videos are interesting. The first time I saw it was due to your video about things that Dutch don't like. Ik leer een beetje Nederlands. Het is een mooie taal. 🙃

It’s actually how you treat , how you are caring while it’s healing. Leave alone and clean twice a days rinse and soak it with salt and warm water. I’ve used plastic syringe to soak it and try not to touch or bump it. It’s a struggle for having a helix piercing I had to literally sleep in the ground so my husband and my son won’t hit it while we are sleeping.

    i have a helix
I actually had my scar for like 2 months because of the way I sleep.
I was told that tea tree oil is a great way to remove this because of how it sucks out moisture and dries it out.
an hour after I had put the oil on the first time, the scar was 75% gone.
I was 6 months into my healing.
    everything cleared within a week.
    x
dont use the oil once it's gone, because it will mess with the healing piercing by drying it out.

Just here to Share My Story .
Around December I got my nipples pierced and abt a month later this red bump formed on my nipple piercing. It was only to one side . But I totally freaked out . Imagine the crazy weird ass thoughts going through my head ! I was googling everything from what it was to how the hell to get rid of it ! I finally found this website . That this girl uploaded a pic of her piercing bump on her nipple piercing and I finally thought I wasnt alone ! 😂 I saw a variety of different methods on how to treat and remove the bump . But I didn’t know for sure what bump ( because apparently there’s different types of piercing bumps ) I had . One sections told me to soak it in Peroxide for 5-10mins a day from tea tree oil night treatments , and to the aspirin treatment 🤷🏽‍♀️ I didnt know which to choose so I did all 3 ! I started my mornings either the aspirin . I wore it to work and eventually when I got off I soaked it in peroxide usually 5 mins then at night the tea tree oil ! When I tell you the bump was down back to my skin color ! And looking brand new ! Within 3 Days !! I was so excited that it was working and working how I wanted it ! I was worried I was only going to be stuck with one nipple piercing. Because I wasnt getting this redone !! I dont have that nasty crust anymore it’s jus got that act right 😂 but honestly you have to try your own method and find out what works best for you ! And your body !!

This dreaded nose ring bump is the WORST. My piercer reassured me it’s completely normal and not a keloid but I hate having an ugly bump 😖 might try diluted tea tree to see if it helps. It got a lot better but I bumped it and now it’s swollen again. So temperamental! I was told aspirin will temporarily work but it could come back again. Piercer told me it’s a consistency/waiting game for it to heal ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so 2-3 months later I’ve continued being diligent and hoping it improves...

Help :( I had my first cartilage piercing around the last week of August. I felt like my ear was burning right after but I didnt really mind it. The place where i got it told me i shouldn't take it off for one month just enough time for it to heal so i didnt. Sometimes it would get pulled caught in my hair, or pressure applied when I sleep, and that one time my friend accidentally hit it with her hand. There are days it didnt hurt and days it did. I have very hyperactive friends lol they hit it sometimes by accident. Anyway, yesterday I noticed a dot of blood on my pillow and I switched my pillow on the other side, slept, and woke up finding another dot so i was sure it was from my pierce. I just took it off now and there's a little bump around the earhole. There was a drop of blood that went out first but just little, and the next was sort of a water-like discharge. Wiped it off four times and now im just staring at this bump. What should I do? Should I take it off for a week or not? Im afraid it might close. But im also afraid of this bump

Ok, I got a white bump on my industrial piercing after about a month that kept getting bigger and I was like “oh boy, this doesn’t look good”. It didn’t hurt or anything, it was just there. I took a chance with my sensitive skin and used tea tree oil (heavily diluted) every night and sea salt soaked it twice a day for about 2 weeks and that sucker disappeared completely. Only problem now is I have a raised bump scar around the top of my industrial that just refuses to go away. It actually got much smaller after doing those treatments ^ however my cousin hit my ear and it got big. I went into panic mode, cleaned it 3 times a day (it was bleeding and puss was coming out so) and sea salt soaked 2-3 times a day. It’s smaller again now, painless, no pus, no blood- but it just WONT GO AWAY. I stopped sea salt soaked bc I felt like they stopped working. I guess I’ll try the aspirin method.

I recommend to see a doctor.
I had these with all my ear piercings (3). My doctor told me it's a keloid scar, and removed it with a laser. The operation was quick and easy. But now I can't have any piercings because these scars will appear again, my body doesn't accept any piercing.
Fortunately my tattoos are fine, 3 years and no scars.

I’ve had my cartilage pierced for 3 years now. I noticed the back had a bump. Not like a small bump, but it was almost like swollen with the little bump at the piercing point. Wasn’t infected and didn’t think much. Now the front has the white bump too. Idk what to do and I can’t have this forever. I’ve been spraying bactine and put a hoop in to move it around and nothing. I’m terrified and can’t have it forever! If I take it out I worry my ear will forever be thick and swollen 😭

trinitycelice hi sweetie . it’s either a keloid or a hypertrophic scar . keloids don’t go away but a hypertrophic scar will , with tea tree oil . so if it’s a hypertrophic scar , get tea tree oil && rub it on the outside of the bump . if it doesn’t seem to go done . then it’s probably a keloid . so therefore you need to make a dermatologist appointment . bc the smaller , the better . i had a really huge one on my right ear but i just got it removed in june . i’ll be going back in 14 days to get more injections . i’ll keep you updated if that’s fine !’

I went back to my piercer and got my nose ring changed out to a stud and it definitely helped a lot, I'd say it depends how long you've had it. If it's been several months you're probably fine to have a piercer change it out since it's had time to heal. My hypertrophic scarring seems to be mostly caused from irritation, so swapping to a more snug fitting stud that doesn't move has helped a lot. Also, my piercing guy was super happy to do it.

Help :( I had my first cartilage piercing around the last week of August.

    • @emilynelson6322

Alyssa Arellano that doesn’t exactly sound like a hypertrophic scar or keloid. The discharge isn’t really a sign of hypertrophic scars or keloids. It could possibly be infected. I’d recommend seeing a doctor about it. Just keep it clean until then.

Hey uh...I don’t know if anyone will reply to this but it would be MUCH appreciated!!! so I got my second holes Pierced back in 2017 right? And well they ended up both getting infected and they turned into HUGE puss filled cysts on my ear and of course I drained them and used salt water (sea salt) and they automatically went down and healed- BUT THE CATCH IS my right ear (my right second hole ) complete healed and it’s flat and there isn’t a scar what so ever but on my left ear (my left second hole ) it still has a small opening and under my skin there is a lump and when there’s pressure on it it turns hard and big AND I CANT DO ANYTHING TO GET RID OF IT and the thing is too this particular hole is a hole where the placement was done wrong- so I’m wondering is what I have hypertrophic scar tissue or something?? And most importantly how do I get rid of it?? Cause I plan/really really want to get my second holes redone and more piercings on ear but I can’t do that with this lump on my ear especially with the small hole in it

I couldn't find tea tree oil anywhere but I found green tea oil and a lot of people told me that they are the same , is that true? And can I use green tea oil instead of tea tree oil ?
Someone answers please I have a nose piercing bump for a year now 😭😭

I wouldn't go for it. Tea tree oil is a very powerful and potentially dangerous oil. Green tea is something we drink everyday, I doubt it'd have much affect.

Anyone know if you can repierce the place of the piercing if it closed? E.g. I had earlobe piercings on both ears about a year ago but I didn't take care of them properly, dunno if this bump occured during or after I could wear earrings but due to school rules and lack of care, both eventually closed.
Then when I wanted to get them redone I noticed this painless bump on my right lobe, wondering if it's this scar or an infection of some sort 😞? I went to the piercers but they reccomended me making a doctor appointment and said they didn't want to risk anything.
Could anyone give me some insight?

btw they were done with a gun (if that makes a difference)

I’ve repierced my ears plenty of times after the holes closed up. I just did it through the bump I used rubbing alcohol to clean the area I’m piercing, to sterilize a sewing needle & to clean the actual earrings. Sometimes I don’t even have to use a sewing needle I can just push the earring through if the piercing hasn’t completely closed up. But recently when I tried it with my cartilage piercing where I have the largest bump it’s been hurting :/

I also had mines done like yours around 5 months ago. I also got hyperthrophic scar on both of my ears 2 months ago. I used the tea tree oil method for a month and it worked but a kind of scar was left because of the tea tree oil. Now, it came back again only on my right piercing.
Should I still continue with the tea tree oil? Also, is there a way to minimize or fade the look of the scar that was left from the tea tree oil on my other ear?

    • @ashleysanders2823
      @ashleysanders2823 5 лет назад

if you have scarring from the oil itself you need to dilute it and use it less frequently until your body adjusts

I'm not sure.. tea tree oil is quite drying on the skin so I'd think it wouldn't get bigger, but I'm no expert!

I'm so scared right now, one of those bumps appeared in my cartilage piercing (I've had it for about 5 months now) and I showed it to my mom and she took the earring out and popped it. I'm scared that it might be infected and it might get infected even more. Can someone tell me if it's bad to do that? I'm freaking out right now!

You should never pop them. Let the piercing heal and clean it more often. It is not an infection but you could possibly get one from too much bacteria from popping. Just be sure to clean it!

I have a small bump on my industrial and I got it done on August 3rd I take care of it with salt water and do it everyday 2 to 3 times a day like my piercer told me too.... I’ve bump it three times by accident but it was ok these bump don’t hurt very very bad if you touch them like it doesn’t make me cry but it doesn’t feel the greatest.... is this a keloid or hypertrophic scaring?

    • @LaurieRobyn

Dismery Burroughs Romano helix piercings take around 8 months to a year to heal. And even then it won’t be fully healed. Yes you can use what she said. You can pretty much use it for any piercing.
