conference championships weren’t rendered useless when a 13-0 conference champ is left out but it is if a 2 loss non conference champ is left out. makes sense
I don't care if there's 7 SEC teams that are top 12. As a fan, I don't want to watch a 2nd SEC season in the playoffs. Blowouts or not, I want to watch the best teams across conferences play each other that you normally wouldn't see. If SEC teams win it all, so be it. But the conferences were already decided during the season.
Remember back in the day it was 1 vs 2 for the national championship? And, everyone said “we need a playoff because it will solve all the problems” Well, you have a playoff and everything is solved!
SMU didn't look the worst, they had a historically bad meltdown by a QB who put them in a 21 point hole right away with unforced errors. Tenn looked the worst. 9/10 times they (SMU) don't start off that way.
@@tonycinca7524 a bad decision on their first drive which lead to int instead of touchdown, then he started gripping and threw two pick sixes,Penn State was not even looking all that great until they got ahead due to SMUs QB.
14:20 as much as I disagree with his character when it get down to who do I want to listen to call a game when we are talking football and nothing else. There isn’t a tandem that I enjoy listening to more than Chris and Kirk. Except for maybe Joe tessitore and Greg McElroy when they were a pair! They just do a great job. It is definitely frustrating seeming them not have a spine though
Saben had told the ESPN boys that he was going to retire and join them on the desk thus they needed to get him in for a final Natty run. Kirk is jumping up and down because now he knows they have a way to pull it off. 😒
My parents went to the Silver slipper for an anniversary. My dad just got off work and was slamming cokes only to find out at the end there was no free refills. Haven’t thought about the Silver slipper in forever
I knew herbie had jumped the shark the first gameday in 2020 following the first summer of covid along with george floyd/blm. They did a video about the plight of black athletes (our views on these issues aren't what I'm targeting here) and when they came back to the set, herbie had his time to pontificate. He cried the most insultingly fake crocodile tears I have ever seen. At that point, regardless of the issue at hand, we could all plainly see he was nothing more than a virtue-signaling mouthpiece for espn, and by extension disney. If he isn't bought and paid then I can't imagine what is.

As an analyst he is one of the best, right up there with Greg Olson. ESPN pundits were dead to me 13 months ago and never going back.

The SEC and ESPN should secede from the rest of college football. They have their own playoffs, and the rest of the country has ours.
A show segment with Jeff & Corey discussing the origins of dinosaurs would make for some fun entertainment in the dog-days of summer 😂
31:27 Love what Tom says about Link. That focus, intensity, drive and purpose is always there.
Kirk, there is a word for a person who is bought and paid for.
RIP silver slipper lmao what a place

Yes…and we’ve had a 4 team playoff and now a 12 team playoff and STILL not solved lol!

Agree. 3 interceptions in first half.
That's exactly right

SMU defense did its best to overcome their QB choke job

Should only be 8 playoff teams. After that is a big drop off.
ACC's gonna have a hard time recovering from this catastrophic postseason.
Kirk is just part of the ESPN machine - as scripted as a Stephen A vs. Shannon "debate."

Burt wanted to kick Fowler's ass, back in the day.
