My 10 year old nephew started FPL this season. He is beating me by 20 points using the methodology of picking players he likes the names of. Proof that after 4 GWs no one has the formula worked out yet.
No one ever does, you can go off stats and xg and will do okay but people who win it just get lucky. I had a hunch Gabriel would score at Spurs off a set piece so played him but that corner could have quite easily hit the first man or gone over everyone. It’s bit a of knowledge but mainly luck.
As an Eze owner, it is really funny that he returned in the match, where he had the worst statistical data :D Even before his blank this week, I was already considering swapping him for Saka, while downgrading Isak to Wissa in GW6, but now that both of them had health issues, I might go Isak to Havertz and upgrade Henderson to Raya instead. Amad is a better option than rogers, he’s started 3 out of 4 United games, played the 90 Saturday and rashford was the one who was subbed for garnacho. Ten hag prefers both garnacho and rashford off the left, amads competition on the right is Antony. Amad will start majority of United games and is already returning
He also retains the ball better than the rest of Uniteds wide players imo, so whole team is not running backwards as often, and he seems to make sensible decisions with the ball. I'm surprised people aren't ditching Rogers for him tbh

There's something special going on there, and it just feels like a matter of time before the dam breaks and we see a lot more than just weekly assists from Amad. EtH seems to prefer pacey wingers (Garnacho/Antony/Rashford) against a high-press though, but I honestly think for 5m that's not much of a caveat. He's at an "enabler" price range, though, and it should be fairly easy to predict when he will and won't start to rotate him with someone else.

I think Muniz will be 5.9m before the gw 6 deadline if he misses the next match, which seems 80% likely given Raul Jiminez scored and Fulham looked better than their last PL match v Ipswich. I would consider Vardy or DCL as a replacement and possibly downgrade TAA (if you own him) after gw 6 instead to fund Mbeumo. I understand your FT argument, but imo if Muniz is not starting, it's not worth taking the price drops just to get another nonplaying asset.

I like Raya and Collins more than Gabriel and Flekken for what it's worth. However, I'm leaning towards Raya, Gabriel, Saka on wc6. Havertz is great, too.

No, one week punt before WC is dead, you save your 3fts when u wildcard so its better to have an aggressive wildcard and then you can change it if it goes wrong

I dunno. I Wild Carded last week. Most of the players I removed did better! Very few of who I brought in did any better than those they replaced - in fact must did worse. For every 0.2M your player increases in price, you can sell them for an additional 0.1M. In the case of Lewis, assuming you bought him for 4.5M, his increase to 4.7 allows you to sell him for 4.6. If he goes up to 4.8 you can still only sell him for 4.6, once he reaches 4.9 you can sell him for 4.7
I played my wild card on last week but silly me kept Henderson...that is a mistake and Forrest seems to be keeping up their defensive stats from last season so Henderson is out, Sels in.
@@yt2530 that is a dumb way to calculate, Salah got 2 points and Haaland got 13 points. If you captain Salah you would get 4 for him and 13 for Haaland, so total 17(4+13). But if you captain Haaland you get 26 for him and 2 for Salah so total 28. Maximum you could lose by choosing Salah as captain is 28-17= 11 points

How did you lose 22 points? I captained Salah instead of Haaland and it cost me 11 points
@@kmrinalbCaptain Salah = 4 points. Captain Haaland = 26 points. 26-4=22 points lost. Not difficult to understand.
@@yt2530 that is a dumb way to calculate, Salah got 2 points and Haaland got 13 points. If you captain Salah you would get 4 for him and 13 for Haaland, so total 17(4+13).
But if you captain Haaland you get 26 for him and 2 for Salah so total 28.
Maximum you could lose by choosing Salah as captain is 28-17= 11 points
