What is your most unique use case for 4G?

I've been deploying Cisco 819 4G ISR's in the field for years - Great Kit! I do have a question, recently we have been struggling with high latency and have been exploring the external 4G antenna's to replace the two single antennas on the device. I can see from the spec of the Cisco 819 4G ISR's that they have 2x antenna connectors 'M0/MAIN' and 'M1/DIV' which appear as if they are TNC connectors and I can unscrew the stubby antennas provided. I would be using these in an indoor event space and would like to position the external antennas 15ft in the air above the device. I have found part number ANT-4G-OMNI-OUT-N - Multiband Omni-Directional Stick Outdoor 4G Antenna but noted the 'N' connector type - would this work with an N to TNC cable and if so which 4G antenna port should I connect the external antenna to?
      Thanks in advance!

First let me thank you for taking the time to produce this video. Whilst your video was relative to an 829, I am considering to obtain a Cisco 819 and am curious about a few things.
What are the major or concerning differences betwixt the 819 and 829?
Is it fair to presume that an 819 or an 829 uses a standard Cisco console cable to access the IOS via the console port?
Some versions of the 819 (non "W" versions) seem to have an Ethernet WAN port as well as Ethernet LAN ports, does that mean it could ostensibly function as an Ethernet to Ethernet router (absent the use of the cellular capability) to route from a DSL bridge via the WAN port to a LAN port?
What makes the hardened version different from the non-hardened version?
It appears that the 819 models can use an older "standard" SIM card, though if a service provdier only supports new Micro or Nano cards, can a converter of some sort work to let the newer cards function in one of these devices accepting only older standard SIM cards?
Your video spoke about an AT&T profile, how difficult is it to get different profiles or to create a different profile or even determine if one needs to create a different profile for a different carrier? Say Sprint or Verizon? You had mentioned getting profiles on Cisco's website but I could not find that on their website.
I want to make sure that when I purchase one it is the correct model number so that I can be sure it supports 4G as well as the proper modulation and band that would work with US mobile phone carriers. Can you provide any guidance in this area? 3rd and 4th tier carriers offer very cheap plans (such as Mint Mobile), where could I get or how could I create a profile for such a carrier?
I had a question in here about IOS for an 819, though it appears my own research shows that c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.159-3.M2.bin is the latest appropriate version. Can anyone confirm?
You state that these devices seem to be sold as "point to point", does that mean if I set one up and configure it all the LAN devices would be able to gain internet access via the same mobile connection (as would any router function)?
Thanks for your time and consideration.

Man it's been a while since I've done much with this stuff. The safest thing I can tell you is probably to touch base with your Cisco account team. That 829 and 819 are still out there a lot but if this is a new application I might consider the IR1101. Either way they do connect and configure like basically any other Cisco router. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/routers/1100-series-industrial-integrated-services-routers/index.html

You announced an Video about SMS Configuration - unfortunately I couldn't find any video about that. What I'm trying to do is to configure/implement a Service for my employees to send SMS through web interface from their PCs to customers (e.g. to transmit Passwords a.s.o). Do you know if such a setup impossible with the 819-4g?

Yes, there is POE on this platform. Be sure to check the data sheets for specifics.

I'm trying to setup 4g lte on a 2921 ISR with an EHWIC-4G-LTE-V and it seems that the commands for attaching the profile to sim are missing and the profiles aren't setup. The carrier is Verizon and the sim is detected by the card.

Can you test the failover LTE function?

I only have a single SIM unfortunately. I would welcome someone to sponsor a second! :-). All typical routing and NAT rules apply however so if you can get it working with a wired setup everything is similar with the 4G WAN's

Do these have a web interface or is it strictly through the IOS CLI? I know my way around IOS, I have my CCENT, but kind of prefer a web interface since I'm planning on using this model or a similar one for my home internet. I'm looking at a 1921 with the EHWIC LTE modem or C819G, they seem to be the most affordable on ebay right now.

Typically just NAT the inside to the outside LTE interface.

In terms of 4G it will work as well as a cell phone data plan, maybe a little better with the antennas.
