I'm not a Christian. I wouldn't call myself much of a believer either, I just can't give myself over to something with a sack full of questions to which the answer given is "Because it is." But that aside, I like these guys. I found them through killing floor 2, which has an irony really because the premise of that game is to chew things up with guns until they resemble a butchers waste bucket. But despite being normally into much heavier stuff, I like the more positive aspect to the lyrics. Like... metal usually delves into subjects other music genre's rarely tread, rage, anger, despair, fear, hate etc. I mean it could be seen as morbid but I personally feel exploring the darker aspects of the human condition makes you a better master of them rather than losing control. But it's cool to hear it's not all doom and gloom, as if it's finite. Like, there's always a way out of dark corners, even if it's not some bearded dude in a robe who does it for you. :P

Unfortunately not, because most games hire musicians to make their game's own soundtrack. Rarely does a game get other songs not from their studio to be their soundtrack, mostly because of copyright issues. But we should be glad Killing Floor and Killing Floor 2 have such great metal songs in them.

Velanestar Try listening to Aeternam. I've never enjoyed thrash metal all too much, it's just about hating everything you come across. Septicflesh is a decent band as well. Don't let the name fool you, they speak of Egyptian and Greek mythology in their songs, as well as real events such as Mount Vesuvius erupting. The lead singer (Seth Siro Anton) writes all of the orchestral parts to Septic's songs, as well as conducts them for the albums. I really enjoy the first half of this song, but I've never been able to stand any 'core' breakdowns. They're used so much that they've become unwitty and overused. It just bugs me when I see a band act like they're badass while strumming open notes through half the song.

Unfortunately not, because most games hire musicians to make their game's own soundtrack. Rarely does a game get other songs not from their studio to be their soundtrack, mostly because of copyright issues. But we should be glad Killing Floor and Killing Floor 2 have such great metal songs in them.

The drums are amazing but these are honestly some of the worst raw vocals I've ever heard... Not cause of religion or anything, they just sound bad :P
The first half of the song is great, then it goes into the overused and untalented 'core' breakdown bullshit. I'm not Christian, but I don't mind the lyrics. A great song made mediocre because of the generic breakdowns. I'm so glad this isn't considered metal, it doesn't deserve that title by any means.

It's Goreship, they invented it, call themselves that, skipping the label "metal" because bands like slayer - a shitty thrash band, and all black metal ruined the grand potential for brutal and godlike music that metal is still trying to become.
Velanestar Try listening to Aeternam. I've never enjoyed thrash metal all too much, it's just about hating everything you come across. Septicflesh is a decent band as well. Don't let the name fool you, they speak of Egyptian and Greek mythology in their songs, as well as real events such as Mount Vesuvius erupting. The lead singer (Seth Siro Anton) writes all of the orchestral parts to Septic's songs, as well as conducts them for the albums. I really enjoy the first half of this song, but I've never been able to stand any 'core' breakdowns. They're used so much that they've become unwitty and overused. It just bugs me when I see a band act like they're badass while strumming open notes through half the song.

Theocracy is very 80's and 70's metal influenced, Ill warn you though, if you dont like Iron Maiden, You wont like them, But the lead singer is EXTREMELY talented, I think if was before their album "Hall of Mirrors" That he did everything for the music.

Slayer? Pretty good? No Slayer is one of the best metal bands EVER and this comes from a christian.
