    1. Here's the driveway video - ruclips.net/video/VRcFHtaH48E/видео.html
    2. Stiffer suspension helps even if no ground clearance increase. If you can raise your suspension temporarily, then do that as well.
    3. Yes there's a cat, well spotted.

What's cool is it also increases the effective wheelbase (reducing effective overhangs) for the purposes of approach and departure angles.

    • @L2SFBC

It's usually 90 degrees for approach and ramp on motorbikes and yes high clearance plus very short wheelbase means no problem and you could always pop a mono :-)

Great tips, however is this applicable at peak traffic hour in real live scenario? Most likely out on the streest you won't have the area/space to do the movements you need. The easiest would be cities exchanging the speed bump for the ones that are lower and activate only if you speed up as not advised

That would depend on the speed bump. If you've not modified it, then it'll deal with almost all bumps. The problem cars tend to be sports cars which are low and have long overhangs at the nose.

Correct, stiffer suspension will help even if there is no ground clearance change. You can see the 86's suspension is compressed, and that reduces clearance. You need to think ramp angle, not ground clearance. The two are related but different. Let me know if there's a difference, interested.

@@L2SFBCA sense of humour is a sign of intelligence, Robert, you're a very clever man. I don't understand why you seem to take my banal comments so seriously.
You've made some mind-blowing instructional and educational content about much more complex and unintuitive subjects, so we come to expect that from you every time. Your followers *probably* don't need this level of explanation for such basic concepts. The ones that do, are more likely failing the "try not to laugh" challenge on the Kitty-Kat channels. (next stop for me, BTW)
But seriously, if that's the demographic you're aiming at, then go for it. Don't forget the models, they're the best part. I will give you a thumbs-up at the end, hoping the next vid after that is golden.

Thanks, EM. I do get a lot of people pulling down others who require a longer explanation, and I don't like it, far too much of "people are stupid they should know" which belittles people and prevents them from learning.
On an early draft the comments were "takes too long to get to the point" so I added a summary first up, then the detail. Based on review comments, I'd suggest the relationship between ground clearance and wheelbase for ramp angle isn't obvious. I'm going to explore the topic of audience/simplicity/accuracy soon. It's a difficult balance.
Thank you for your feedback, I hope you enjoyed the cat cameo if you got that far in.

But many cars are low in stock just like that Gt86 in this example. Not all sporty cars are modified. Actually because of these badly designed speed humps, it kinda suggest to spend more money for air suspension modification fitted on those sporty cars so it's possible to lift it beyond stock height.

Okay this helps! Now what do I do if the speed bump is up a steep mountain slope (meaning I must keep momentum), on a slight right turn, but the bump is already roughly at a 45 degree angle as you approach.
The degree of angle goes with the right turn, which pretty much means I need to approach it as though I am driving off the cliff, but make a sharp turn last minute to ensure I remain of the road.
Did I just answer my own question? Hmm
Ultimately, I need to cross the bump as though I am creating an “X”
