Hi Craig, It was a Vodka Soda kind of day here. Hey, do you remember anything in the WWDC keynote mentioning changes to the files app. I’ve been paying attention and I don’t. Might have missed it. That formatting external drives is a big move forward! I don’t have a bone with the files app but I know a lot of folks do. Hoping they are going to sneak in some other improvements to the files app and surprise us! 🤞 Thanks for the video!
Yeah, they didn't mention it in WWDC and there are a few smaller features coming out they didn't mention. Vodka Soda I'll have about once per year but I know it's popular for sure.
Big games aren’t selling well on the App Store because they’re ports of games that came out months or years ago, and expect to charge people a full 60$ for it. Right now you have to spend 60$ on Resident Evil 4, not the 30$ sale price the article claims. So for 60$ I can play the same game I played last year on PS5 but with much worse performance and graphics on my phone? Yeah, VERY tough sell.

I want to see Apple do an August event and put the M4 chip throughout the lineup. I want a 32 inch imac and a revamped Mac Pro server with quad M4 chips and make th SOC hot swapable. That’d my wishlist.😊
I think we are all hoping for that soon. I'm not sure a 32 inch iMac is coming but it would be nice.
Until we get native BootCamp (Windows) on Apple M-Series... I have no desire to buying the top of the line/high specs Macs! Yeah, I want my money worth like back when Apple had Intel processors.

I have a theory why it is taking longer to get the Mac Studio and Pro out is that they may be using the M4 Ultra in the AI secure data center. So, this cloud component of the AI is eating up TSMCs manufacturing power. The press has asked if it is the M2 Ultra that they are using. Apple has refused to answer. I probably wrong, but it makes a bit more sense to me. Also, I think the M2 Ultra doesn’t use the NPU cores very well. It just seems the rumored M4 specs would make it twice as good for this application and probably cheaper in the long term.
That's a good theory and could be right on. I know they are trying to build out that datacenter(s) as fast as they possibly can now.
The necktie for $2000 isn't bad but they are charging $200 for a tie clip.
Yeah, it's all pretty bad as I'm not sure who would buy a necktie clip.

The biggest issue I can see is that AAA games need to be released at the same time as console/PC in order for it to be a viable option, and not ported 12 or 18 months later. And the ports themselves need to be much better. Why would anyone want to buy a game 12 months after release, for higher than it costs elsewhere, that runs fast worse?

Apple is about to get a run for its money with the new intel chips/processors , so we’ll see if they continue to maintain their market share as these new intel machines hit the market.
Yeah but for the things that apple computers are good for like video and photo editing they still kill the snapdragons by like 300 percent in some tests. Plus m4s right around corner. So time will tell.
The reason why not enough people are buying games is because the switch is a better portable
The playing experience isn’t so great on a smart phone. Only us geeks (ppl who watch the keynotes) know about it and we have the games already on better systems. The AAA games are harder to find in the App Store. They need exclusives that are worth while and make the Apple TV what it’s supposed to be. Mac is great but pc is way better when it comes to graphical processing. M chips need to kill dedicated gpus or Apple needs to make one.

Had to have one as it's been a while. Pretty good.
I get paid to play mobile games. Most of the time the Triple A title games are really bad ports. Assassins Creed is so bad. I was super hype for it but I couldn’t touch it longer than 5 minutes.
