Despite the disadvantage in range compared to most other melee weapons, sai can definitely be a hard counter to most sword types (katana included), ESPECIALLY if you really know how to use em. They are mainly meant for defense after all, which is very useful against a offensive sword. The more you know

Older brother was Raphael, Older of the 2 younger brothers was Leonardo and the youngest was Michaelangelo...with me being the true MVP of the Turts, Donatello. Wrecking everyone's shit with a goddamn bo-staff...though I won't lie, one day I was trying to be slick and do this "big brain" dive off the couch and hit the goddamn corner of an end table and ended up rolling into the corner of the room holding my foot because I just caught that shit on the corner hard as fuck, and my youngest brother, as Mikey, took full advantage of the situation and used his chucks' (soccer socks stuffed with other rolled up socks and bouncing balls to give it weight to swing around) and absolutely devastated me in that corner. Little dude wailed on me. Left me all lumped up. Dude really went into the zone. Embarrassing as fuck. My other 2 brothers were laughing so hard the younger one puked. Since he was the youngest I couldn't actually hit him full force obviously, but he had zero qualms about it the other way around. So I was left tucked up in the corner with a flimsy Styrofoam staff trying to defend against these absolute missiles. Didn't go well for me lol. Still one of my favorite memories to randomly remember, makes me laugh every time.

To be fair Raph is actually skilled. His fighting style with the sais is a nightmare. However i don't know what it's called or the comic i read that showed Raph at his full potential sadly. The only thing holding him back is his anger. Once the second half of the fight kicked in and he saw Leo get angry and become sloppy. He learnt the value of patience and control and used it against Leo. I'm not saying Leo ain't skilled because he absolutely dogged Raph. Its just that Raphs anger holds back his potential and skill. Its why he was giving the sais. Also Raph was wearing a heavy suit of armor and a helmet that limited his vision and a weapon he was not familiar with. So those things alongside his anger were holding him back. Hell later on he channels and controls his rage and uses i't to absolutely dog the hammer dude. So while Leo's training helped him dog Raph. It was also Raphs hotheadedness and mindless wrath that helped as well. Alongside the armor helmet and weapon.

You know when this movie came out when I was a kid I was so excited to watch it and what threw me off was raph and Leo finally face off it was about to happen and it should have happened in like the other series of the shows because in like the new one wrath is more like the leader of the group now and Leo was just this dumb brother which was an interesting take on to say the least and I mean that with quotations but regardless wrath versus Leonardo was probably the best part of this whole movie

To be fair Raph is actually skilled. His fighting style with the sais is a nightmare. However i don't know what it's called or the comic i read that showed Raph at his full potential sadly.
The only thing holding him back is his anger. Once the second half of the fight kicked in and he saw Leo get angry and become sloppy.
He learnt the value of patience and control and used it against Leo. I'm not saying Leo ain't skilled because he absolutely dogged Raph.
Its just that Raphs anger holds back his potential and skill. Its why he was giving the sais.
Also Raph was wearing a heavy suit of armor and a helmet that limited his vision and a weapon he was not familiar with. So those things alongside his anger were holding him back.
Hell later on he channels and controls his rage and uses i't to absolutely dog the hammer dude.
So while Leo's training helped him dog Raph. It was also Raphs hotheadedness and mindless wrath that helped as well.
Alongside the armor helmet and weapon.

Ima break it down for you considering you're too stupid to understand first raph was the one not trying to hurt leo to begin with while leo was literally trying to hurt the night watcher enough so that he would give up on being a vigilante (side note raph couldn't see shit through that helmet) after the helmet was knocked off there was a moment where both of them were obviously just acknowledging that they're having a conversation and then it's actually LEO'S ego being too big where he thinks he's better than raph which obviously raph isnt going to take that cause he stands on business like that so then they proceed to fight while raph is in a heavy ass iron suit aswell to which then raph starts beating his ass raw dog style and you can see that leo realises he is infact not better than raph to which then raph literally shows him mercy by proving he's better than him instead of killing him to which then raph realises he just hurt his brother and if you actually know ninja turtles raph is actually the most emotional out of all of the turtles and cant face his brother after just beating him so he runs away ashamed that he just hurt him...stop acting like you know this shit bro

Leo is right when says “Your impatient an hot tempered” and that’s Raph biggest flaw.

You know when this movie came out when I was a kid I was so excited to watch it and what threw me off was raph and Leo finally face off it was about to happen and it should have happened in like the other series of the shows because in like the new one wrath is more like the leader of the group now and Leo was just this dumb brother which was an interesting take on to say the least and I mean that with quotations but regardless wrath versus Leonardo was probably the best part of this whole movie
