If someone demanded an appology from me for THEIR BS and said they'd "embarass" me if I didn't I'd be as loud as possible when I said "sorry you were such an awful person that time and I embarassed you about it"
The minute the mom said she wouldn't leave till OP gave a fake apology, i would of called the cops and had the mother and sister arrested for trespassing.
Finally a poster that just tells everybody the fucking truth for once instead of just hey guys I'm coming to the internet because instead of telling my whole entire friends and family what's going on I'm just going to ask you guys on the internet what I should do because I want to act like a stupid ass who thinks that they have no idea what they're doing in my story that I'm telling you but in the next update I'm going to know what to do without you guys is advice because I don't neither side sounds good to me and if it does that's what I'm going to take it like that's literally almost every story with almost every poster and in all honestly it just makes it sound like a kid is the one asking for the help not a full grown adult that should just have to common Sense to just tell everybody what is going on
What is with all these people in these stories with the same crap of "keeping the peace" or "to maintain the respect". I would have gladly made an announcement to all the guests about their stupid accusation and how they expect me to apologize to them. Anybody with a sane mind with two brain cells would have supported OP in that situation after knowing the truth, and would have kicked those two out of the venue. There is absolutely nothing wrong in setting the truth straight in front of your co-workers, there is absolutely nothing to feel ashamed of. Also, all the guests knew by then that OP's mother and sister were not even invited to her baby shower, wouldn't that be more humiliating and embarrassing than the announcement of the truth about these lowlife scums.
Fake as hell, but at least it has a OP what grew a spine... to bad that it seems the partner of OP never had a spine and let her mother and sister walk over his wife for years.
