man, computers are just getting smaller and smaller these days, who knows how small computers will be 5 to 10 years from now
Sadly there is a limit on how small silicons can be
imagine if we made them as small as 5.5in, added a 1440p display, and also wireless connectivity and communication so we can stay in touch with loved ones. I call this concept a “smart”phone
Nvidia: *NO*
Well, the only reason that PCs are still so huge is to cool inefficient intel processors… Other than that they can be as (or smaller) than this.
@@thomas_xsg I mean Imagine putting a pentium 4 in a case without sufficient cooling that small, not a damn chance,
Perfect. What I was looking for. Thank you and RUclips for suggesting your short video!
This is insane how powerful this tiny PC is!
Fascinating.
A couple of years back when I bought my MSI prestige laptop with thunderbolt 3 I was dreaming of carrying laptop with me but keeping multiple displays and storage connected to the egpu back home. So when I come back home I would just connect a single cable to my laptop and voila, continue from where I was left off.
That idea never came alive because of extremely low options and high price of egpu cases and limited CPU-ram of laptop. Instead I upgraded my full tower PC to high end and used that.
Now I see khadas has same vision I had and got happy.
I believe with reasonable prices this units will sell crazy so an ecosystem based on this idea will grow eventually. Maybe that will help me build my dream setup.
Nice video btw, thanks 🙏
New subscriber here. Great overview of this device and its accessories! While I don't like propritary connectors, they seemed to have put a lot of thought into the accessories. Can't wait to watch more of your high quality videos!
Such a great video. Thank u
Very nice review. The concept of this project is very interesting! Anyway.. Top review and work delivered as always. You deserve more subscribers ❤
Everytime I see more and more modern pcs, they just become more portable than my low end, but budget friendly gaming laptop lol
It's cool, but I think a laptop with a dock that adds features would be more useful. Mainly because the tablet implementation shown here looks a bit rough.
yeah, most people who would even consider something like this already use their laptops with docks.
I think it should be a tablet.
pretty smile, nice intro of the product!
I've been always an enthusiast of modular tech, but companies never seem to get enough interest from it. It's just more sustainable and less space consuming. I think I might give this a try! As per the deck, I don't like the 4060ti choice, it would've been better a 3070 or 4090 but that wpuld have been way more demanding. Also, do you know if you can use a 1440p monitor at 144hz?
PC building has always been modular.
I'm watching in Thailand, Your review is great and easy to understanding.
Super Concept and product
What a beautiful computer, I love it!!! I´m gonna buy it ASAP!!!
hey! i found your channel super recently (literally a couple of days ago) and i just wanted to say that i really enjoy your content! i love what you do, keep up the good work!
Yes, it's good that she makes videos Yes, it's good that she makes the videos so good
your channel is awsome
Very interesting concept! Kinda reminds me old videogames that you could extend it. But in a better way
very clever!
I thought this was just another mini pc. Almost didn’t click the video but I’m glad I did! Awesome device!
Nice review Ella
I love this
interesting, I'm working on gpd win4 with a dock, and love this modular tech
This is very dope! I think I want to back this project because it is so compact and here for this innovation
What about repairability? Are the RAM and the internal SSD soldered? How difficult it is to replace thermal paste and swapping a cooling fan?
Very nice but quite a pretty penny that I can’t justify buying it over other options. I can see many people loving this product. Best of luck to them!
Hi, USB C powered PC, honestly always dreamed of such low powered high specification micro computer. Is going to be difficult to MATCH the Mini Mind computer, but then I ask what is NEXT, an unlimited solar, light powered desktop computer? Me like the powerful mini workstation! 👌😍💫💎
Very Nice
This thing with a NAS Case would be a dream. You want 2 bay no Problem, then you need 6? Add two more.
New subscriber here. Hi from Brazil ❤️❤️🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 in love with your smile
I would be interested, if they had an external PCIe enclosure, so I could provide my own video card. I think this would be the fastest external link, if it is just PCIe 5.0. Definitly would be interested in that. Get that dock for my gaming desk, and then a few others for other parts of the house and work, so I can just move the thing around when I wanted to watch movies in the living room, play come games in the home office, or do some work at the office.
Minisforum is about to launch such product. UM790 pro XTX, with oculink for external GPU. It also has better port selections and much better cooling.
@@bing-chilling1713i'd love to see a version for khadas, the khadas mini pc with it's internal battery and slim shape is way nicer than anything miniforum makes
I love these small office mini pcs but the major downside is that the fan inside doesn't last nearly as long as the ones for regular pcs
if you know how to clean it it will last. just put oil to it and your done. get it running again.
best ever
I hope they release an AMD 7000 series version since they currently have the best APU.
i wanna to ask, if mind dock do not plug in mini pc, do it work as usb dock for hdd, or other pc cannot access hdd on mind dock if mini pc is absent on dock~~!??
I like the concept. I would like to have the option to chose AMD as well. It would be nice to be able to hook this up top the back of a monitor directly so it would be out of the way and not have to screw it on the back. I would like to have it not loaded with an OS so that someone can load what they want and not have to pay a license fee. I know I can order it and then just wipe Winodws off this but still have to pay a license fee which then it not being used.
I think that’s amd doesn’t have thunderbolt connection
When will this device be released for sale? 🤔
This is cool and all but I'll wait until we are just using our phones for this in the future
Is this similar in performance to the Asuz Chromebox with Chrome OS?
Can you try with AR glasses as monitor?
Hot plugable pcie slot
The connection for dock or ext gpu.
this pcie is 5.0 Yes
because it support lots of ports in dock.
and nvme is 2230 4.0 ?
I think a laptop is still a better option for most people. But this is still a cool product.
SO if it only last 20 minutes on Battery, How will it work when attacked to a Tablet Screen attachment????
If they want to sell to me, they need to make the specs on their kickstarter webpage easily visible.
Took me a fair while to find the RAM/SSD size, after scrolling through a very long page.
Trying to obscure something?
Oh well.
Sounds like she is easily satisfied. Replaced by thunderbolt 5 in 6 months
Cool keyboard… what is it?
This is a really, really slick product. I don’t really have a use for it, but it’s cool knowing that it exists.
Where can i buy this silver thing and can i buy in Philippines?
Excellent review Ella.... But the only way i would buy a small pc like that is if i had no room for a pc and really needed one. PCs that look like that to me are just boring.
Whats the best high end mini pc ?
lost me at the i7 cpu which you brought up towards the end of the video so could squeeze out more view time.
cool
i think the gpu dock should be at least rtx 4070 instead of mid-range 4060 ti, and the cpu should use the mobile cpu i7-13700hx
Hello Ella. Are you okay?I know there was some extreme weather in Los Angeles recently. Hope you're safe.
Too bad you don't have the graphics on hand. Would've made a more traction with this model.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Love to see this kind of pc in the market😍😍😍
The sad part is that the GPU unit is not capable of doing 3 monitors of DP. If they put (3) DP in that unit it would be awesome.
Also they need to make a storage attachment that houses (x2) of NVMe Gen-4 and Gen5 capable SSD slots. Though I have to admit this does look promising.
And ALL the current stacks should be able to stack with each other including the GPU unit ALL together if need be.
Meaning the GPU on the bottom, the docking station on top of that. Any storage dock on top of that and then the PC on top of all that. Making them ALL stackable. 🤓👍
nice tech and explained well and clear thank you Ella big up
Ella 😃
That's so cool! Smartphones just in the past 5 years have really gotten powerful and productive. Seeing these compact PCs that can be tired around has me thinking "how small can we go!".
Great new product review, Ella! 👍
Its nano-tech going to be our final journey
This is more a presentation video than a test video (or I missed the test part?). I wanted to know the price, checked the link and it's a kickstarted project. Meaning it is not yet available or wrong link? Anyway, the presentation video looks like an interesting device, the battery is definitely a plus specially for us in Asia where we have weekly blackout (UPS are expensive). I will wait for a full review with tests and benchmarking in the future (comparison with Intel NUC?). Thanks for making those videos that allow us to discover new products.
This product is really interesting and cool 😍
Z Fold 5 Review?
I hope that despite taking time, the review is as detailed as possible just like the ZFold4 received!
That sure is a very generous amount of memory and storage, i sure am interested in some performance benchmark and how expensive a gaming version would be with the gpu expansion.
This is like the Sony Ux Series 20yrs ago. It was about 4.5k USD. Nothing new just a
Iittle cheaper.
So while this is an interesting concept. I just have issues especially since there is clearly some misleading possibly false marketing going on. They state this is a P series processor but P series does not have PCIe 5.0. Then the dock is nice but the graphics expansion just feels like a missed step for a modular system with only one option. Then there is the entire will they be around long enough where I could actually upgrade modules.
Created by Ella, your channel and videos are really clear, honest and easy to understand. You also have such cool tech!
Not the most............Mind-blowing thing but still very impressive
I really hope that some day Apple releases a Mac this size. Imagine how amazing that could be with Apple silicone!
This idea but a tablet.
Kind of cool but I'm not seeing the advantage over a small laptop if you wanted portability.
I never use the trackpads so I always being a mouse with me, might as well bring a better keyboard too, then why bother with that on a laptop, just bring the box
I wonder if the display will have a nice large battery in it? That'd be an awesome solution with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
fluent review, thanks. I think that battery won't last long though. on other reviews I have seen 94C, that is an extreme for lipos.
ridiculously expensive for my taste
I do wish they used AMD tho cus itll be more powerful and use less watts but i do know it might not have full thunderbolt capability
I love every video of her explaining the technology, keep it up beautiful Asian kisses
20 min battery life!!??? WTF!!???
That looks too expensive.
I just have my whole work OS on a fast external SSD (linux). Plug it into my big desktop when I'm at home, or I can put it in my thin and light laptop on the go. Saves me a lot of money compared to these mini PC with egpu solutions, especially once it comes time to upgrade.
How come the video not saying this mini pc spec wasting my time 😢
It looks nice and a nice idea but this looks like a gimmick. There is no reason why this is better than a laptop, or a mini PC, it does not do any of their strong-suits better.
Sooo this is like a windows pc Mac mini version
does anyone besides me notice the resemblance to Apple accessories, especially the packaging paper and the power cable? 🤔
so its basically their answer to what Apple has which is a Mac Mini, how is this different to that? other than it uses windows instead of Apple OS and different ports
whats the problem with that? is there a relable windows mini pc like mac mini?
Here's the take to what everything is going on around content creator right now.. they mostly use Macs and FinalCut Pro for editing.. and with the Apple M chips design.. Apple is dominating the content creator markets.. now imagine if somehow Snapdragon or Mediatek or any SOC makers would also make their own specific design chip to tackle the M series chip.. and also providing their own software editing.. we can all imagine computers will be so powerful but also as small as a passport..
That computer is very cool but to be honest, I lost so much money from failed kickstarter projects. I hope they do well and produce next generation computer. I will purchase their next generation computer if their business is fruitful.
why not just buy a laptop? It is portable and can be powerfull.
Oh wow, they invented a Mac Mini… and put a battery in it.
That's the most ridiculous device in 2023.
"Powerful" when this thing can even barely handle games at 720p low settings....
Look into SBC that houses Ryzen APUs instead if you want an actual powerful mini pc....
Are you sure you don't want to delete this comment?
Mac mini would be a safer bet.
Other than being cool, what’s the point of this thing?
It should be$146.00 anymore and its a ripoff.
Boo this not Mac, this ad. Boo this woman
A used HP 800 mini makes much more sense.
