Haha Robert Downey though. 😂😂😂 The word 'savant' seems to fit him perfectly, especially in his crazy younger days. Yeah, NBK is a crazy film alright. Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas came close but NBK won with it's sheer violent insanity. So many cool movies were made in the 90's. I love how the producer just casually mentioned they were on shrooms. 😁
Woody Harrison: "Where is the line between you and Mickey and Malory?" I think that line is very clear, most people don't go around killing innocent people.
So, when the riot happens, they were actual prison rs. Im sure the killing and torturing was stage, but actual super max prioners? Thats...risky as hell!
I've watched many movies over 60+ years. Horror, violent, murder, etc, and never found one I couldn't watch. I rented "Narural Born Killers" when it came out on VHS & in less than 15 miniutes I took it out and returned it to my local video store 🥶
That's sad... You missed out on one of the great masterpieces of the 90s... It's not for everybody but it is a piece of cinematic art of the finest caliber the likes of which we never see anymore.
I saw it and to me this movie is about the hypocrisy of society and the damage the media has done and will continue to do TO our society..... And how badly ppl are failed by the system in this country. This movie is more relevant NOW than it EVER was.
The title "Natural Born Killers" refers to tabloid media, due to the fact the actual killers were conditioned to be that way through childhood abuse, not "natural born"
the movie is called natural born killers....the movies message to me is about unresolved childhood trauma caused by bad parenting and how it can turn someone into a natural born killer. and at the end love kills the demon...the native American man sacrificed himself so mickey can eliminate the demon..and show him his pain caused them both to do this...mushrooms also aided in this higher consciousness to realize this...the native man knew it too..he used the great spirits influence in the tent with the fire ceremony while sleeping ...if you listen to mickey he said his daddy had it..his daddy b4 him had it...then it shows a black and white grainy clip of a boat of men coming ashore... we come from something very ugly..and people like myself are starting to realize it..i never realized the true message of this movie until recently..i thought it was just a deranged cool love story..but nope..love kills the demon.. i never seen this ..thanks for bonus footage
4:08 Why did you edit out certain parts? The scene that was cut was her (the producer at the time indicated at the beginning of this comment) talking about how the characters Mickey & Mallory are eating mushrooms in the film & the whole crew/actors/director were ACTUALLY eating REAL psychedelic mushrooms on that trip and their vehicle was being followed by a REAL cop. Oliver Stone complained to the driver who told Stone he was driving the speed limit to which Stone replied, "That's why he's suspicious" & Stone put his foot on the driver's foot to speed up the vehicle which made the vehicle swerve all over the road. Bear in mind a real cop was following them at the time & they're all tripping their faces off on mushrooms 😅. I don't understand why you cut anything out of these interviews. Bad choice.
When they showed woody and Juliet eat shrooms they were eating real shrooms and Oliver also was tripping during some of the shooting. But this film summed up the mindless violence in late 80s and 90s.Also during that period had the most popular insane serial killers in history.Ted Bundy Dhammer night stalker Gacy and more.We haven't had serial killers on that level since.Oliver made the entire sets and environments as chaotic and weird as possible.they were eating shrooms and Oliver would blast tribal music cranked to 11 and would use different color lights through out the film.along with projector playing strange clips of violence in nature. Its one of the greatest films of all time and it was basically an expiremet to Oliver.
Wow. The interviews notwithstanding, you can see how far gone Downey was with his drug abuse. Look at his footage in the finished film, then look at his interviews. He’s at least 30 pounds lighter and fidgeting almost non stop. It’s a kudos to Oliver Stone for keeping him in the movie even though he was obviously hurting.
When I first saw this, I wanted to hate it. I've grown to be something in between love and disgust. But just because one recoils at violence doesn't make it not exist.
I kind of feel like that too, there are parts i really love and other parts that are pretty disturbing, RDJ in the media was something i liked, he kind of says it all about the news way before media got even worse. just sayin, thanks for watching !
Tarantino says that his script for Natural Born Killers was butchered.. Quentin says he refuses to watch it. Stone was one of Quentins hereos. Yet something happend between the two.. Maybe the project only had enough room for so much Genuis...
I can only imagine how much drugs were on that set. What a group of individuals - Downey, Woody, Stone, Sizemore. 😂 Even tho Woody and Sizemore seem sober this interview, Stone is questionable, and Downey is well. You can clearly see he is high. I didn't mention Jones or Lewis (An accident in 1989 when she was 16 when she entered a bar unlawfully, and she was charged with undarage drinking. But that was when she was 16 and careless/rebellious years) because they don't have a history with drug abuse/alcoholism at least from what we know.
I like this film never really loved it but I do think its good just not great. I do feel its a little style over substance at times but overall the message of the media enhances violence and that they feed off each other is a good true message especially true of the 90s. The ending is totally unbelievable though that this insane couple could stay on the run while at the same time rasing an entire family its completely ludicrous as an ending but overall its a good film.
Even the Director's Cut should be Rated R and not Unrated or NC-17, due to the Historical Significance of this Film. A Hard R for Graphic/Bloody Violence, Strong Language, Nudity, Drug Use and Sexuality. Use this as New Rating Guidelines and RUclips Guidelines too.

He was an assassin for the mob he killed a federal judge can't judge a book by it's cover he may have looked as his son Woody too. Juliette's father was another famous actor Geoffrey Lewis he was in several Clint Eastwood movies.
Noone understood the movie the first time they seen it. I seen it 100 times easy.... I never understood it till I got a little older
I understood it perfectly... Saw it 24 hours before the official release at a midnight showing and that night is burned into my memory forever... It changed how I thought about movies.
I still have the Directors Cut on VHS.
Anyone else notice how high RDJ is?
oh hell yeah lol, I love him anyways and he might not have been alone on that trip :)
that was his harder time about drugs ... and he was also high in the film
NO, I Didn't Notice °That At ALL. #••••••••••••>•••••••••>•••••••> **( "Cue Eye-RoLL" ! )** 😮
@@ciudadanakane8743there’s a scene in the prison where he’s on the phone and dumps like a whole bottle of Xanax into his mouth. Something I just caught the other night while watching.
Definitely in my top 10 film list
Oliver stone is amazing. This movie is great.
RDJ and that spoon tho!
Woody Harrison: "Where is the line between you and Mickey and Malory?" I think that line is very clear, most people don't go around killing innocent people.
i love this movie a lot
My favourite film of all time 🙏
Love this movie
I’ve wanted a poster of the Esquire cover with Mickey for 10+ years.
Wow, thank you for this
So, when the riot happens, they were actual prison rs. Im sure the killing and torturing was stage, but actual super max prioners? Thats...risky as hell!
15:28 Lol they shitted on Geraldo Rivera 🤣
🤣an added bonus lol thanks for watching !!
Man i bet theres so much crazy stuff that noone talks about on set of these movies
Its an unspoken rule that what happens on set stays on set
Why is there a piece cutout at 4:10 ?
"I don't think a lot of us slept during that movie..."
Yeah, I bet not.
I saw it and to me this movie is about the hypocrisy of society and the damage the media has done and will continue to do TO our society..... And how badly ppl are failed by the system in this country. This movie is more relevant NOW than it EVER was.
Thank you 💌
Damn, the more interviews I watch with Oliver Sone, the more I love him! He's so on the pulse of the human condition.
The title "Natural Born Killers" refers to tabloid media, due to the fact the actual killers were conditioned to be that way through childhood abuse, not "natural born"
He was a great guy to work with.
the movie is called natural born killers....the movies message to me is about unresolved childhood trauma caused by bad parenting and how it can turn someone into a natural born killer.
and at the end love kills the demon...the native American man sacrificed himself so mickey can eliminate the demon..and show him his pain caused them both to do this...mushrooms also aided in this higher consciousness to realize this...the native man knew it too..he used the great spirits influence in the tent with the fire ceremony while sleeping ...if you listen to mickey he said his daddy had it..his daddy b4 him had it...then it shows a black and white grainy clip of a boat of men coming ashore...
we come from something very ugly..and people like myself are starting to realize it..i never realized the true message of this movie until recently..i thought it was just a deranged cool love story..but nope..love kills the demon..
i never seen this ..thanks for bonus footage
It's hilarious that Robert Downey Jr. is making love to a spoon through the whole interview.
Is he probably high as a kite?!
Bad choice.
Hmmm wonder what was meant in the way he said “they woke her up”
Any chance of putting up the 2009 documentary?
Were not even the same species.
I remember this, wasn't it on the 2nd tape of the double vhs?
What is the art at the beginning of the video?
It looks like the Ultimate Vision of Hell by Hieronymus Bosch
I love the powwow music
Who is the girl?
Sooooo did any of those inmates get compensated in any way ???
Being on shrooms during the whole Indian portion would freak me tf out, man lmao
No creo. Cualquier politico ha matado mas personas que los asesinos seriales

Not the very end but just before that I mean.
Burn nin
"Something That I Can Never Have" !
Tarantino says that his script for Natural Born Killers was butchered..
Quentin says he refuses to watch it. Stone was one of Quentins hereos.
Yet something happend between the two.. Maybe the project only had enough room for so much Genuis...
Worth comparing to the film, Network.
Media sensationalism for profit and the effect on society
Few people understand the film.
I feel like "Blue Velvet", "Natural Born Killers" and "Mandy 2018" is a disconnected avant garde film trilogy.
Great film!
Bits of the wall & Stones Vietnam experience as well as the decline of the 🇺🇸empire?
I can only imagine how much drugs were on that set. What a group of individuals - Downey, Woody, Stone, Sizemore. 😂 Even tho Woody and Sizemore seem sober this interview, Stone is questionable, and Downey is well. You can clearly see he is high. I didn't mention Jones or Lewis (An accident in 1989 when she was 16 when she entered a bar unlawfully, and she was charged with undarage drinking. But that was when she was 16 and careless/rebellious years) because they don't have a history with drug abuse/alcoholism at least from what we know.
She has such "kissy" lips!
she is awesome, sexy, wild.....she has it all :)
Definition of sexy
@@ghostsofVTurbexSkysthelimitvid yes!!!
Iron Man vs Carnage
And Tommy & Downey were both in U.S. Marshalls
Wrong aspect ratio.

After watching this movie, I feel like I understand why criminals are born. Do criminals need human rights ?
And, what about Dangerfield? Juliette!!!
O boy!
He thinking Woody is sick and crazy cause of his father is too cheap.
thk,but only a part!
Oh he did?! Haha

To think the guy who directed this movie, JFK and The Platoon would become a Kremlin propaganda lackey...
