Beautiful fabric. You always get the most beautiful fabrics. It's interesting seeing your design process and very helpful. The blouse is beautiful and flows nicely.
I think this type of content is so interesting. I love seeing your process and the approach you take to improving each toile. Really nice shape of blouse.
What a fantastic top Jayne. I love it and I know my daughter would love it too...she could wear with her jeans summer and winter. It could also be layered over dresses not lined. It's a winner, and it's unique.
Thanks for sharing! I love this kind of content where i can follow your creative process and whatch you as you work! I’m the same when I try something new, tweeking a pattern or have selfdrafted something. May I suggest that you try to omitt the yoke att the back and instead make the back piece more a-lined to get the same width and flowieness. I think the yoke and gathering pronounce a rounded back wich a lot of us 60+ get. Just a thought… And for the lining you can try voile, it’s such a soft and drapy fabric that suits chiffon. Thanks again for bringing us your lovely content with the mix of sewing, creating, gardening and your cute cats!
Such a beautiful top Jayne and the fabric is gorgeous. I enjoyed watching this type of video, it's always interesting to see how you sew the pieces together. The top and skirt go perfectly together xx
Fascinating video - I really enjoyed following your creative process. I think the top has loads of potential - I love the floaty dreaminess of it all. I think it could look great paired with some high-waisted jeans as a nice contrast also.
This was really interesting to follow.I think I would prefer it unlined,to keep the floatyness, and then where a cami underneath.Your garden is amazing,it is so beautiful.
Wow, so much work and patience and pioneer spirit, lol. It turned out very beautiful. With the lining and all it reminded me of a christianing dress I still have, my mother sewed back in the day. With this dress, she used fabric from my aunts wedding dress, which was in a white chiffon, with embroidered flowers on it. My mother made a removable lining in pink, and one in blue, kind of like an under garment/dress. Now it was wearable for boys or girls. She also sewed a matching white chiffon bonnet to go with it. I still have this christianing dress today and it hangs on a special coathanger on my wall. I only have the pink undergarment though. The blue one is missing. I did not think you would get all of this blouse made from so little fabric. I love the color and print. It looks very comfortable. It will be very cute over jeans. However, I don't like to work with Chiffon. Anything that sticks to my skin, or slides away from me, I avoid. You are much braver than me. Wonderful!
It was just what I had to hand and as it was my first version I was just experimenting … my next version will be with something more drapy underneath xxx
It was just the same cotton lining that I made the toile in, it worked out ok but a more softer lining would be better. I am going to make another and tweak it better. xx
hello it's a very beautiful video I ask request very nicely please kindly place the video camera on the floor and film how to operate the jack industrial sewing machine foot pedal how it's used to sew please OK?please kindly reply back OK?thank you very much

Loved every bit, even the diva cat x
Lol yes he’s a little monkey xxx
Very cute top! Diana
Thank you 😊
Lovely pattern, I might have made the sleeve more fitted at top and then added frill on bottom like the indigo from Tilly. Just an idea.

Love to drape on the manikin. Fab content. 💕
Thank you so much x
OMG your cat! 😂❤
I know 😂 x
May I ask why you chose such a sturdy fabric for the lining?
It was just what I had to hand and as it was my first version I was just experimenting … my next version will be with something more drapy underneath xxx
May I ask what material did you use for the lining? Sorry if you already mentioned 🙂
It was just the same cotton lining that I made the toile in, it worked out ok but a more softer lining would be better. I am going to make another and tweak it better. xx
