Got the dogtag yesterday!! When i was halfway trough, a random brasilian guy joined and offered help! He solved the floor pattern with ease and in the end he was calling out numbers while i was pressing the buttons. When finally finished we were both t-bagging and shooting around like mad. Such an awesome moment. And such an nice and humble guy! Big shoutout to the the BF1 community
got the opposite experience of this when doing the omen dogtag, guys would keep joining and blow up the things you had to input the code on, fuckers all of them :p

@@suicidium Got the same problem for a moment. Had to stay afk when one of them killed me. They got bored, and I fortunately could keep it working. It took me a little more of time, but at least got it... after a few hours lmao.
i just got mine yestartday, but i had a guy come in, tell me ive failed the puzzle (even though i was not) then he shot the floor and left, luckily i was keeping track.

BONUS TIPPS:
1) Join a server with fog/rain, otherwise you will not see the lights on the floor clear enough
2) After glowing all candles, use limpets and blow all walls for easier access when doing the 16 switches thing
3) When you messed up with the candles stand before a glowing one and wait 4 minutes, it will reset them all

How would you find a server with this map, there are none running
I had a lot of empy servers, maybe change the filter? What is true is that I had to rejoin several times until I found one with fog/rain on. That needed some patience.
Is that important to get the Peacekeeper?

I didnt do the headphones one because it requires you to calculate the mass of the sun X by 3.14159 and use a stethoscope to decipher a dead language by reading the Rosetta stone in Braille with a candle in a tunnel hooked to a train while running on crutches...

in the span of 6 hours I've managed to do this Easter Egg for my friend as well as myself,. If my brain cells haven't multiplied 10 fold then they have definitely melted beyond repair. Great job to the original founders of the Easter egg and the team behind making them.

I remember doing this all by myself. It was a cold winter night. A blizzard hit New York before Thanksgiving and for us high school students it meant extra time off. Nowhere to go giving me ample time to complete this. I remember being sprawled on the floor and drawing out the entire puzzle and it still remains one of my proudest moments in gaming. Thanks Jack :)

Done, Thanks for the help. That one was a pita. Took me 3-4 hours to complete. Along with the links you provided, I managed to figure it out. A guy came in the server just as I had finished decoding the 8x8 grid and was about to light them all up. Thankfully, he was chill and already had the Peacekeeper. He followed along and celebrated with me lol. Neat!

For anyone starting it, try a free morse audio decoder app, helps a lot
The Morse code puzzles are by far the easiest to do compared to this stupid one
The escalation morse code was way harder because you had to translate it in the high winds
The final Phantom assignment gives you the AEK-971 for the Assault class only.

Maximus C. "Its takes skill to use at range, but we banned shotguns because they can beat the aek" a quote from a ps4 ESL match coordinator. That gun needed to be nerfed so hard. The assault class had way to many full auto snipers. AEK is all you see on the kill feed for lockers. That and the M320 LVG heat seeking proximity detonating grenade.
They also banned all 7.62 lmgs and ARs because they can compete witg the aek.

In bf4 they were cool (well, it started to go crazy when they added the dragon valley easter egg), but HELL, this is going beyond crazy, there is a big difference between a riddle that unites the community, and a hassle that only a few will be able to solve (not because of difficulty but because of how annoying it is).
the dragon valley one was really complicated, but it was for a reason, at the end they gave you dice camo, i have no idea what the final reward could be for this easter egg

you haven't played Bf4 in your life have you?
you had 4 dog tags in the end. there was one in every dlc.
in a dlc map there is a hangar and back of it there is a elevator that opens if you have one of the dog tags,
you need 4 guys in that elevator. owner of the certain dog tag need to go to certain corner of the elevator (if there is somebody that doesn't have one of the dog tags and isnt in the corner will be dead).
Then you press the button to go down and there is some kind of futuristic laboratory that is protected with see trough solid laser door that had numbad for a pin code. you open the door and get yourself a special bow that only those 4 treasure hunters gets to keep.
after few years later everyone got it in a free dlc map.

I'm happy I'm seeing all these "all for a dog tag, I'm not doing it" comments because it gives me hope that ill be able to find empty servers!
It's been seven years, I graduated and now I don't have to worry about work or school as of the moment. I can finally sit down and actually try my hand at this puzzle without worry, and the silver lining is at this stage of the game's lifespan there's plenty of empty servers to choose from.
Its cool that it takes a while and an interesting hunt to find easter eggs like this but even for the above average player interested in easter eggs this is too hard. They need a middle ground where its more do-able.

I agree that it's very neat they've added this in the game...but I know (even as much as I love this game) that I will never...ever go through and put such time and effort into doing this. It just looks like a very large headache that I don't want :/

Sky Dog O feel like we need a compromise, some easy easter eggs that dont provide anything but just alter the composition of maps, for example megalodon easter eggs. Then some mid level easter eggs that take a few hours to do, and provide cosmetics. Then some nigh-on impossible easter eggs that require multiple players across maps to cooperate and take tons of time.

Yes . a very few understand this dogtag is a part of the EASTER EGG WEAPON UNLOCK or something big which will be continued in the upcoming DLC's. for example : you have to wear this dogtag to get the weapon etc.

Tips for you trying out this today: although this video is helpful, there are better ones out there online. One thing Jack fails to mention is that you should try this in a server where the weather is cloudy or foggy. If it's sunny you will have a hard time seeing the lights on the floor. Also, he mentions the spectator camera, but you CAN'T leave the server to join again as spectator, as it does not save progress, so don't do that.

when I watched this video, i am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CONFUSED
It took me two days, I was removed from a server after falling asleep and lost all my progress, but I gave it another go and did it almost entirely by myself (with a bit of advice from the server admin), and I have the tag. Man, the sound that plays when you press the right button combination is so satisfying yet scared the shit out of me. Same with the candles, since I was just running around and guessing which ones to press. It's a lot easier done than said, it sounds complicated, but as Jack said, it's easier once put into practice.
Just completed this easter egg last night. Took about an hour, the candle stick part is a true pain in the arse. Thanks for the vid Jack

f this easter egg, i got really REALLY lucky that a random joined my server who saw what i was doing and did the glowing tile step for me, i would have never made it without him
I just finished this. After being disconnected from the server 3 times, someone blowing up the wall where the sun light was to bright to see the floor lights. I finally finished this!!! I never want to do anything like this again. Lol right after I finished a guy ran in and killed me. So glad I was finished. I would have never attempted it again. Took me all dsy. When it comes to labeling which tiles you need to light up our strategy was to shoot all the tiles we need to light up so that way we can instantly know which ones need to be lit up or not it was very helpful for us
