- An access control list (ACL) is a list of access control entries (ACE). Each ACE in an ACL identifies a trustee and specifies the access rights allowed, denied, or audited for that trustee. The security descriptor for a securable object can contain two types of ACLs: a DACL and a SACL.

Man, you r genius
Sir Please explain inbound and outbound clearly i have lot of confuse after watching your video
Sir, in this scenario you have only 3 routers and you take the common router i.e router 2, but more than 3 routers how to find it.
Hi sir, if i Ping from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.1.1, will they reach 192.168.1.1? and if it reaches, reply from 1.1 will be dropped again at f0/0?
sir how to configure telnet for client /host .because i can only access the routers through gateway address, i can't access a host/client through telnet
What if i want to 2.0 network talk to 3.0 network
Confusion lit bit in/out
why i can't ping from 192.168.2.1 to 192.168.1.1 ? is the rule applied for both direction?
FOR ME SAME DOUBT ! any one can help me with this ?
Yes, rule is applied for both side or direction.
I had the same experience. If standard ACL list works based on source address and also based on the direction(IN/OUT), it shouldn’t be pinging vice versa. But when I try with PacketTracer it’s effecting both direction. Could anyone clarify my doubt please?
@@misterafzal I know it's late but maybe it can help people who are new. you were not able to ping because packet can reach from 2.1 to 1.1 but when ICMP reply comes back from 1.1 to 2.1 it gets stopped at router 2 by ACL.
