I have a simpler method which only requires you to have 5 stone blocks (or any other) a hinge block and glue blocks from find me quest. Its a very cheap method and is as good as this one

You have to place 5 blocks in a plus sign on the ground, the hinge block on the middle of the blocks plus sign( upright) and you have to step on the hinge and place the glue/butter blocks from find me quest on the hinge blocks o it basically places inside of you. When you launch you have go press space and you can move in any direction(bear in mind you need to press space if it starts losing altitude).
