@@TheDarthSoldier I married a woman named Ginger and I have natural red highlights in my facial hair. My mom was born a redhead, so, that makes me half. I'm passing though so no one can tell I'm half. Is that close enough or do I need to be a pure blood.
I really like corn in general, so I'm all about more corn exploration in whiskey, especially by such chill and humble dudes. Great episode, and also that t-shirt is dope :)
You really need to try Mellow Corn by Heaven Hill if you haven't. To my knowledge, it's the only Bottled-in-Bond corn whiskey aged for four yrs and bottled at 100 proof. If you like the taste of sweet corn, you'll love Mellow Corn. And...it can be found in some areas for under $20!
I just booked my flight, hotel and rental car for the weekend of April 5-7 2019 to visit y’all. I’ll be recording video in order to do “Texas Month” in May.
Awesome. Seems like a fun group to just hang out with and sip a little whiskey. I LOVE these kinda videos. It speaks to the cooking soul in me. How to make things in a different way. Love it!
Had no idea small changes in types of corn would change anything like you guys were saying. That's really interesting. Also, you bet your ass I picked up one of those shirts! Love it! Cheers!
Magnificent video! Nothing beats tasting whiskey straight out of the barrel. Bet that place smelled amazing. Know that we appreciate all the sacrifices you guys make to bring us this incredible content 😉
Came back to this one after I started listening to Still It's new Podcast where he talks with the Ironroot Gingers. So many Whiskey Tubers are getting involved with distilleries and how the whiskey is created now, it's a wonderful Tribe to be a part of.
I am falling in love with ironroot. I'm do happy they are seeing expanded distribution. Harbinger is available locally, I would go NUTS if icarus gets out here.
There is always something so magical about these episodes. Plus I really enjoy the highlighting of the corn whiskey as a corn farmer. Such promise from my golden seeds. 😎
I started my whiskey journey with bourbon, made the switch to scotch for the longest time. But after watching this I wanted to try the Icarus but couldn't find any. But I did manage to find the Harbinger bourbon and decided to give it a shot and I was amazed at how complex it is. I will definitely be picking up the Icarus as soon as I can find it.
I am such a huge fan of the “hobbit” (LOL) Wee Glencairn Glass. Everyone jokes about it, but it works so well. I get so much less alcohol on the nose and so much more of the positive attributes from it. I think it has something to do with being so much closer to the actual liquid. Around 8 minutes when you did you side by side with the 2 whiskies, was one in the mini glass and one in a normal Glencairn? You seemed surprised at how dramatic the difference was. Maybe it had a tiny bit to do with this. Do a compare back at home. It’s nuts.
Didnt know corn whisky was a thing. More things to try. Recently i moved states, and one thing i love is the amount of new whiskys that are avalible for sale. Been buying ones i saw on the channel that are now avalible!
Really is there anyone better than these two MB's you don't even need to like whiskey to enjoy the love they have for what they do interesting content, mixed with humor, science, artistry just terrific.
Ironroot Republic seems like an awesome distillery... Reached out to them to ask about distribution and sadly they don't have sellers in my city (Vancouver, Canada), but they were very helpful helping me find the next closest bottle. Trip to Washington might be in order... could tie it in with a trip to Westland distillery too. The plan is forming...
Wow... I bet their stuff is incredible! I have some Highwire Distillery Revival 100% Red Corn Straight Bourbon, from South Carolina. It's the best corn whiskey I have ever tasted. I bet Ironroot could give the Highwire a run for it's money! Plus... From Texas! Let's go!
I suspect we have lost a lot of knowledge and wisdom about how different corn varieties affect whiskey, from the early American distillers in the 18th and 19th centuries. So awesome that distillers are rediscovering it.
Super late to the party, but if I may chime in, Balcones has had quite the love affair with corn whisky for many a year. Both distilleries, Balcones & Ironroot Republic being in Tx is major plus. Everyone should try both, as both distilleries put out incredible whisky, and Tx pride makes ‘em that much better.
I bought my first corn whiskey this week - Mellow Corn. I’m definitely up to try what these guys are making. Btw, Mellow Corn cost me the equivalent of US$50 here in Australia. It’s supposed to be cheap in the US, so I’m getting ready to be shocked by the price of their brew.
I wish you guys could somehow get a hold of a bottle of Julius James. It's a 100% corn whisky where the corn is entirely sourced from the Philippines. It's very interesting in my opinion.
Gingers may not have souls but it looks like they have spirit...s.
You can't use that word! Only we can use that word!

Thanks for the shoutout guys! Great episode, Iron Root finally hit KY. We can't wait to Uncork it. Love the new t-shirts!
Awesome! Glad it finally hit the shelves.
Nice to learn something about corn whisky of which, honestly, don’t know anything at all. Would love to try it.
Did I ever mention how much I love this channel? Thank you for sharing the love and knowledge of distilled spirits 🐝🐝☮️☯️
Wow. Great episode, so want to try some of those...
Come Back!
Scotch Test Dummies on it!
Scotch Test Dummies I’m flying down the weekend of April 5-7, 2019!
It's easy for gingers cause.... 😂 nailed it! I like that dude...

GREAT EPISODE!!! This could be a great series. The boys visit distilleries all over. If only they had more time!
What a cool couple of guys! Great episode fellas
Had no idea small changes in types of corn would change anything like you guys were saying. That's really interesting. Also, you bet your ass I picked up one of those shirts! Love it! Cheers!
One of the best whiskey tribe episodes I've seen...visiting Texas in on a priority list now...
Magnificent video! Nothing beats tasting whiskey straight out of the barrel. Bet that place smelled amazing. Know that we appreciate all the sacrifices you guys make to bring us this incredible content 😉
I started drooling at the thought of finishing in a Tawny Port cask. Oh, I need that in my life.
The two of you are living MY best life...

It's awesome to see you guys up here! I live very close to iron root.
I am falling in love with ironroot. I'm do happy they are seeing expanded distribution. Harbinger is available locally, I would go NUTS if icarus gets out here.
Making me want to move to texas more and more
What I find so interesting about Whiskey is how small changes in the production can make such a big difference in the results
Excellent video!
This is one of the coolest episodes! Great work, super interesting.
Very interesting to learn that corn had many different flavors. I had no idea.
The only variety of corn they were missing was candy corn. Hey, I have an idea....
7:50 "you gotta master that pullout" 🤣🤣
Holy shit guys... I live in WHITEWRIGHT TX .. It's like 2 seconds away from DENISON😱😎
Great episode. Thanks for sharing...
Completely awesome video
I love my mellow corn and am so pleased to see corn focused distillers experimenting with variations. 🤙🌽
Awesome! Between this and the episodes Josh and Gretchen made for Cask Strength, I *REALLY* need to go check out some Ironroot!
My only experience with corn whiskey has been the unaged variety, which was rough. I'm excited to try some of Ironroot's stuff
Get your hands on Hubris!
Wow. This is eye-opening. Thanks for this exploration.
Wow I wish they had corn whiskey were I live
I absolutely love these kind of “videos vlogs” very informative and entertaining!! More please !
Hell yes guys! Great video with great information. Just ordered one of those awesome shirts!
There is always something so magical about these episodes. Plus I really enjoy the highlighting of the corn whiskey as a corn farmer. Such promise from my golden seeds. 😎
Thank You for a great idea for my next vacation, IronRoot!

Great video. I think you need a part 2 episode going through the mash process!
You had me at the hobbit glass
Dammit! You guys have too much fun doing this. It's JUST NOT FAIR!
Great Vid ... Really enjoyed thisone

Really is there anyone better than these two MB's you don't even need to like whiskey to enjoy the love they have for what they do interesting content, mixed with humor, science, artistry just terrific.
What cool guys!

Damn, this video was fantastic. Loved learning about a type of whiskey we rarely see in the Vault. More field trips please!
Brandy the Boosecat is my favorite thing in the world!
Great episode! I'll definitely be on the lookout for these guys if any of it is making it to Virginia.
Look at how giant that t-shirt looks when Daniel is holding it. Must be like a Medium.
I love the music so much! Good good videos
I love this episode, you make a list of all the Distilleries you visit so we can visit them
Wow... I bet their stuff is incredible! I have some Highwire Distillery Revival 100% Red Corn Straight Bourbon, from South Carolina. It's the best corn whiskey I have ever tasted. I bet Ironroot could give the Highwire a run for it's money! Plus... From Texas! Let's go!
I love these education videos. I feel like I’m back to being a student out on a field trip but with sum frickin cool teaches

good stuff, interesting to hear about how much that 5% difference makes!
So much potential. Keep experimenting.
The most Texas thing to say would be "It's like someone started a fire in the boot section of HEB.".
Dam, need to try one. Thanks for another informative video guys!
One of my favorite of your videos. You are livin’ the lie baby!
Awesome video! Whiskey Gingers!
Great traveling music.

Great video, guys. The Hobb-Cairn was cute, too ;)
Great music choice!
Big Ass Fan sighting!
Lol that cat is like. I run this operation.
Islays (Laphroaig) mix Bourbon & Sherry barrels -- Ironroot doing the inverse triple lindy with Islay barrels...very cool!
Iron root!! I’m interested!! Will have to try!
Cool video! I live in the north east so I doubt they sell their whisky around here. Damn.
MrTw2009 at all of the Total Wines
One of the very first times I've heard someone advirtise as nongmo and actually be in the right to say so. Thank you for amazing content. :D
I recognized Plano, and then I saw that you went to Ironroot!
Haven't had a dad joke in a while. Can't wait for Daniel month! Cheers guys! #TeamSomm
Do more like THIS!
I'm impressed that the mash bill is 100 % corn.
a good corn whisky to try if you can't find ironroot's stuff, is teeling single grain its 95% corn and aged in red wine casks, its nice stuff.
Look at you guys in Texas, so cold, must be in the 50s. Come to Montreal in February and see what cold feels like.
Just so you know, when I googled "Hubris Whiskey" , the Whiskey Vault was the very first result, and Ironroot republic distillery is #3 on the search
Loved the video, entertaining and educational. You've gotta be careful about sticking your nose in a bunghole Daniel! Lol
As someone who has drank a bunch of corn based new make I like what is being done here. ;)
Oh hi Brandy! :D
Whiskey in Texas!
Got me that shirt!
I woke up still hammered drunk , magnificent night
I wish you guys could somehow get a hold of a bottle of Julius James. It's a 100% corn whisky where the corn is entirely sourced from the Philippines. It's very interesting in my opinion.
I WANT THAT HOBBIT GLENCAIRN!!! IT’S SO CUUUUTE!!! 😂
I'm as happy as I can be...
That pull out joke though....
"We call it maize. "
-Shut up! I call it whiskey!
There was a "scientology tv" commercial in the middle of this corn whiskey video... that's a totally different cult
Yo! Need there to be some research done on the BEST savoy flavored corn… True Italian Polenta corn!
