- Charles-François Daubigny (15 February 1817 - 19 February 1878) was a French painter, one of the members of the Barbizon school, and is considered an important precursor of impressionism.
He was also a prolific printmaker, mostly in etching but also as one of the main artists to use the cliché verre technique.

I think there’s a nice Daubigny landscape in the Frick Collection, too.
Yes, there are two lovely Daubigny pictures in the Frick Collection. However, they are not currently exposed, they are:

That was a long time ago when I saw that in the Frick. The Daubigny was next to a big Whistler lady portrait. Just at the entrance of the gallery. Quite nostalgic thinking about it.
