Ok, I have a skin condition that makes my face red and full of acne. Recently I started a new treatment and I am very self-aware of the way I look because I hate my red face. So, to hear Merle saying that my skin is glowing (even though she has no idea who I am or what condition I might have) put a huge smile on my face. Thanks for the kindness, Girl. =)
Rainbow Plant Life has a spicy avocado edamame spread that I’ve yet to make. She topped hers with pickled red onions, but theb tomatoes sounds great too!
i literally love plantbasedrd omg. her marinated chipotle bean salad may have changed my life i fear. i'm so glad this video surrounds around her amazing content, it's like 2 of my fav food creators coming together
Yum this looks soso good! never thought of marinating tomatoes - brilliant idea! Also: I absolutely agree that you can never go wrong with adding nutritional yeast to literally anything lol. Thx for the inspo and I will def check out PlantbasedRd!
I needed more recipes that have fiber so I’m happy you highlighted a vegan dietitian! Also I don’t do TikTok so I truly appreciate you writing down the ingredients and recipe!!
I have her book Peaceful Kitchen, and I highly recommend it. It's already one of my favorite cookbooks of all time (and i have a giant stack of vegan cookbooks). Her ability to make flavorful meals is unmatched!
Plantbasedrd is known as the sauce queen in our house. We lean vegetarian in our house mainly because I don't feel comfortable cooking meat. I reference her recipes all the time and substitute ingredients (i.e. sour cream instead of vegan yogurt) and it's amazing every time. I would definitely like to genuinely follow her recipes for the nutrients.
OMG the heirloom tomatoes were stunning! Actually, the visuals on all these recipes are just gorgeous. And yeah, I bought asparagus this morning and it looks nothing like yours. Mine looks like the poor relations to your affluent asparagus. Thanks for the nod to Plantbasedrd ... I'm heading there to subscribe now.
I have always eaten meat but as I've matured I feel I've become a lot more environmentally and cruelty conscious. While I'm not vegan, I really do appreciate your content (along with people like Sauce Stache and Derek Sarno), as it makes it a lot easier for me to be plant based at least a few nights a week. Thanks from Australia!
Perfect timing! I just received her cookbook yesterday 😊 haven’t had a chance to go through it yet. I’m not familiar with her channel but saw her on the physician’s committee the other day ams it all sounded so good…I ordered the book!
That was great Merle! It's a fairly full day of cooking so meal prep would be a big advantage. It would even be a busy day cooking and blending on a weekend by the looks of it. Still, it all looks wonderful. I guess it's the cue to suggest doing a day of Dietition Nisha Melvani who's Cooking for Peanuts site has some recipes I'm pretty sure you'll love if you haven't already encountered her. She has also just put out a cookbook with a food for longevity theme. She's really up on the latest research (more protein for women) and isn't much of a self promoter, but, I think she's up-ed what she does on her site since her kids are older. I really like that life balance in action. Also, it's about the food not her kids, husband, house/lifestyle, etc. And her food is really fantastic! Edit to add: Merle I really appreciate your sponsor. I'm in Australia so we have differentt brands available, but I've done the transition from the plastic covered coloured dishwasher and washing machine cleaning thingos. We had the best known brand called Finish in our house and I've always found a strong chemical smell when I open the dishwasher. It's not so strong in the washing machine but I've happily transitioned from plastic packaged products and find the new ones to be excellent. Mine are sheets, mainly made of coconut shells. No more plastic in a small cardboard box. There's none of that strong chemical smell. A marine science student recently told me by 2060 there will be more plastic in the water than fish and that we should wash plastic food containers and food processor bits, blender bits, etc. to prevent micro plastic entering the water chain. In other words we shouldn't wash plastic in the dishwasher. Our sewerage/waste water here in Sydney ends up in the Pacific and we're encouraged not to contribute to the fatbergs via foods, beauty products etc. Imagine what changes the next 3 generations will be making 😮
You are so good at showing off other creators & their great recipes. I appreciate how you try things that might not totally be your jam. You rock!!!!!!!!
I'll have to make a correction- the only thing more healing than freshly sliced Heirloom Tomatoes is Freshly sliced Heirloom tomatoes AND freshly chopped Parsley lol. All of these recipes look AMAZING 😇
I really enjoyed this video! The recipes look so delicious and nutritious. I can't wait to try the chili lime cauliflower and chickpea wrap-it might be my favorite among the three dishes. Thank you for sharing such appealing plant-based meals!🥰🥰🥰
Merle, I love your videos and your sense of humor. You are very entertaining, but what really made me laugh in this video was that you ate the salad with a SPOON! I don’t know why I even noticed this 😂
Plantbasedrd 's recipes call for seemingly countless ingredients and that's what made me search elsewhere. To make a simple sandwich you need like 20 ingredients! Maybe for a special occasion I could do it, but daily? heck no. There are so many creators out there with so much more down to earth recipes and approach.
the cauliflower wrap is tight. it was the recipe that made me go out and get chipotles in adobo sauce. and I make variations of the sauce all the time. one thing I will add is that since you already opened a can of chickies, you have aquafaba right there otherwise running down the drain, make a quicky mayo with it to save some money. I dont know about america but in Sweden vegan mayo and yoghurt is expensive. I often just do full mayo + chipotles in adobo and garlic clove, makes more of a thicker spread, its fine
Funny because here in France it's the opposite. Nutritionists are doctors who know about nutrition and can also prescribe medications but dieticians are just here to give you advice, everybody can be a dietician if you can afford it
i just learned this myself a couple of days ago, but apparently, re-using parchment paper can be dangerous / is dangerous. They contain / can create PFAS when re-used? Because it's not just paper most of the time, but paper reinforced with plasticy stuff, if i understood correctly!
I'd love a source for this because as far as I and the internet are aware parchment paper is made of cellulose coated with silicone. there is not a single fluorine atom to be found in either of those. On top of that comes that PFAS is quite a hard chemical to make needing lots of energy so the idea that it would form after a second use in an oven is quite odd.
Oohh, love our reigning vegan queen as always!!...who always provides us with the Celsius temperature!! ❤ These all looked so good but my favourite was probably the breakfast ahahaha!! I do miss your ranking videos, though....i sure wish you'd do some of those again. I've also recently finally got an Airfryer... I'd love to see some easy Airfryer recipes!! Anyway, love as always and will see you in the next one! Ciao for now!! ❤❤❤ P.S. is cilantro not the same as koriander? Or is that an American thing where it refers to a different thing? I may be dumb or just having a blonde moment, but I'm too lazy to Google, hahaha😅.
Don't be afraid of the plastic in detergent pods. They (PVA and its derivitives) are completely safe and actually used in the medical field quite a lot. A better reason not to use them is because 90% of the detergent pod pods are made by the same company. fuck monopolies.
These look so good!! When i first got into vegan cooking PickupLimes were my go to and Sadia is a dietican! All of the recipes are created with this thinking and the app is soooo good!
As a dietitian, THANK YOU for highlighting the difference between an RD and nutritionist!!
You are most welcome!!!
tahini, dill, chives, MISO, GARLIC, LIME!!!!! vinegar...
😂
it scared me LOL
Died hahah
Pick up Limes is also a great vegan dietician. She has an app too.

You’re glowin!! I felt it 💚

She is a GENIUS
Awh I went to the hairdresser yesterday and you are the first one who noticed! Appreciate it😀😭
I knew it, looks fab 💚
I’ve loved every recipe I’ve tried from PlantBasedRD - she’s such a great resource
Totally agree!
hahah I LOVED that intro haha
Also what a super cool video concept!!!
Thanks so much, Mark!!
The world is begging for a collab with you two :)
@@blackrosenuk yes, please! Would love this! ❤

Yesss nutritional yeast is truly MVP

lmao i'm sorry the asparagus quality was underwhelming 😅 that's even more annoying considering how expensive it is
LOVE Blueland! Use all their products! Love these recipes! Thanks Merle!
Blueland is the BEST
Loved the editing on the intro Merle!! great video!!
That's all my editor, Alexa :)

That food looks amazing! Dill is super-messy so I snip it w scissors directly over a bowl. It's a lil tedious, but better cleaner
Great idea!!

Aw thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it

It's a detail but one that many creators miss - thank you for telling us the Celsius temperatures along the Fahrenheit. ❤

Oh wow! In Spain the Dietitian and Nutritionist definitions work the other way around

Can you do vegan dessert holiday themes? Idk what to make vegan wise for a Halloween or Christmas party 😵💫
I’ve got some coming up for ya!!
It's so rare for someone to get that RD/Nutritionist distinction correct. Thanks for doing your homework.
OMG thank you so much! It IS my hair, i colored it 🥰
knew it- looks great
You are making me so hungry 🤤
hehehehe 😈
03:20 sounds like avatar intro 😂
Have you gotten Pamela Anderson's new cookbook yet? It would be fun to do some holiday recipes from that.
omg such a good idea
You've got to make her creamy miso ramen!!
Great video and the recipes look good. The crunch noise is obnoxious though.
I always thought that the liner for single-use detergent was cellulose not plastics!😮
Depends on the brand
I’m dietecitian by Education and sometimes I call myself nutritionist 😂
The hair is nice up 👌🏽🫶🏼

You know what is WILD! I have a ranking and an air fryer video coming up!!
@MerleONeal yaaas!!! Slay!! Obviously as two libras we're on the same wave length 🥰! ❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
As a dietitian- ❤
I don't want to spoil the party but parchment paper also contains pfas.
how EU friendly is the book? talking messurements and product names.
4 15.... Was it too much dill, though?

Check out Cooking For Peanuts! She has great and delicious ideas
These look so good!! When i first got into vegan cooking PickupLimes were my go to and Sadia is a dietican! All of the recipes are created with this thinking and the app is soooo good!
And hear me out, salads like that are just “buddha bowls”
❤❤❤
