I've watched boxing for 60 years. Ray has always been a favorite in and out of the ring; a classy guy. Steve Kim has become a top boxing journalist and interviewer.

Really enjoyed these - I like Mancini he's a straight shooter and has a lot of great anecdotes from back in the day - all the best to him with his film production work.

Lots of boxers can barely speak at age 55. Good to see that Ray still has a very good, sharp mind at this age.

Just to fight a great fight against a legend like Arquello who was just name the greatest super feather weight in history. Mancini had a great and warrior heart .

Jose Luis Ramirez was one of Ray's best victories. Ramirez was tough as hell with wins over several highly regarded fighters such as Whitaker, Boza-Edwards and Rosario. I can see why you were ready for Alexis. You gave it a good go too! I've met Ray on several occasions. He's a class act. Always humble and polite. All the best to you Ray from a fellow Youngstowner.

The Ramirez fight should be ONE of the ways he's remembered. As good as Ramirez was and later became, Ray was his master. And he looked much better against him than either Whitaker ( the first fight) or Rosario ever did. I do disagree about one thing. Ramirez only dropped Arguello once and I thought Arguello eeked it out. But it was a close one.
And for those of us that remember him fighting, I think he was wrong on another point, though I am sure he believes it. He was a different man after the Kim fight. He just wasn't the same. But, really, how could anyone be?

I agree that Ray wasn’t quite the same after the Kim fight. He lost the “killer instinct” and how could he not?
