2027 will be the 100th anniversary of the founding of Cessna Aircraft Company (although Clyde had been making airplanes since 1911). I passed by the original Cessna Aircraft factory at First Street and Glenn Avenue in Wichita. It seemed to still be producing aviation sub-components, perhaps for the Cessna company. The factory that came next, at Cessna Field, is still operational, too, producing components for the company's jets, whose final assembly occurs at Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita. Not many aviation companies make it to 100 years. Hope the company has a suitable celebration.
