- We spent a full day exploring some of Ueno Parks museums. Specifically the Tokyo National Museum and the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum.
The Tokyo National Museum houses one of the largest collections of art and archaeological artifacts in Japan, and consists of six separate buildings. Unfortunately, we only had time for two, which were the Honkan (main building), and Toyokan (Eastern Antiquities Gallery) next door.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum is best known for its temporary exhibitions of not just Japanese, but also international art from abroad. Overall, I was very impressed with the talent that was on display here.
Also, I said in my video that the Kofun Period of Japan was from 300 to 338 AD, were I meant to say 300 to 538 AD.

We enjoyed the Museum tour, Lyndon and Donna. Where else would we have seen a Racoon Dog Buddhist Monk? So many historical artifacts! We loved seeing them along with the art works. Both are amazing. Thanks so much for bringing us along.

What a wonderful museum, and I can see that you need lots of time to enjoy it . The paintings are outstanding, and I would love to hang a few on my walls. Your knowledge of the local language and culture adds so much to this video
Thank you so much! Really glad to hear that.
I have yet to visit Ueno Park, where the museum and art museum are located next to each other, so I watched this video carefully and became very interested in the park.
It is a great place to visit.
I like museum
Very happy you enjoyed it!
Hi Mr.L
Hohoho, Love your breakfast looks fancy but right portion, not like burger hshha
I am not sure why some Japanese PPL skip AINU culture. Maybe there is some misconception, they already must have learned about it??? I am very interested... 1:59
I am very surprised that you are allowed to film at museum and also gallery. We are often discouraged to do so in the US, but maybe just photography. There are so many art work from sculptures to paintings. The paintings are quite large. I like this white castle painting 6:25 Your film flatters my eyes. Love it Thank you so much Mr. L well done.
Apologies for my absence. I lost balance and fell during my filming when i jumped from one giant boulder to another over the water. I am pretty banged up. hahaha.off to another episode.
Wow take care of yourself and hopefully you get better soon. Really glad you enjoyed the video!
