Yes. It will work great for light vacuuming of pools on your route. If you can go to the pool show in your area you can get it at a discount price from the Water Tech booth.
Hello. Am very interested on how your vacum work on route. U only have 2 hrs of energy. I also have a lot of pools in route. Yes its been 6 years but is a very usufull information for me. Thanks U.
i just got a Precision 2.0 and I'm having issues with steps... Do this unit need to be under water to suck/clean? the top 2-3 steps it will not clean.. I may be doing something wrong?
Do you know if the hose attachment from FX8Li could fit onto this Precision 2.0 model? The reason why I am asking is because I would like to check if I could vacuum tight underwater spaces in the small fountains and spas where the water level is very shallow.
Good video cool vac I could use one but then I live in So Cal and we get them Santa ana winds and once I had 6 inches of dirt in the bottom of my pool had to drain shovel it out.
i have the pulse plse720 from watertech. but i cant find the charger and water tech says thd r out of stock, is there another kind of power supply i can use? There midel is LC099 2SK but i cant find it anywhere. pls help
Thank you for all these videos, very helpful. I own a pool service in Florida, In your opinion what model do you think is better suited for professional use? I see this one has a battery that can be removed, so buying an addition battery so use while the other is charging looks like an option. I did see in a comment that Water Tech will let you test one out so I will be looking into that.
I have been using this one since I got to to keep testing it. I prefer it with the fixed vacuum head actually vs the regular manual vacuum head and it works really well. The only drawback is that for spas and step areas it is too large and does not vacuum those areas well - since it needs to be submerged to work. It does come with 2 batteries. Each battery last about 1 hour. The Volt FX8 is the one I also use for spot vacuuming pools and spas. If you haven't used a Water Tech product yet I suggest starting with that one. SCP can order one for you. I also suggest the Sand/silt bag. The FX8 battery will last for about 40 minutes of contentious use. So figure multiple spas and some spot vacuuming of pools each week - I charge it about once a week. SCP should have a demo unit for you to try - the Precision.
@@SPL which combines residential and commercial use? The basis difference is just the extea battery for longer duration? Which vacuum has the best suction power?
Holding up well. Use it in about 2-3 pools each day. Still using my original X-treme layer bag but I did contact Water Tech for a new Sand/Silt bag that split. Got a new one of those that I am using. Seems more durable than the Pro 1500. Convenient for sure. 2 included batteries so far have been all I needed. Use one while the other is connected to the car charger.
Swimming Pool Tips, Reviews & How To -MrDgvb1 They found it this time. Thank you I really appreciate it. I checked a few months ago and they said they were unable to find. I dealt with a different rep this morning and success. I’m sceptic on spending that much money. I never see any pool guys with anything else but a hose and vacuum head. I think it’ll really benefit and wonder why I don’t see them around. I would think if they were truly worth it then SCP SPP etc would stock these items along with the RipTide, Hammerhead and PowerVac. They only stock the ones that seem to be cheap and equivalent to something I could buy at Walmart.
I use mine everyday. It is great for those pools that need spot vacuuming only. I really like the sand silt bag as it picks up dirt very well. Personally I use the fixed vacuum head on mine since it is easier to carry back to an account that way. It just has some trouble on the top step areas since it needs to be fully submerged to work. I like using it in Infinity Edge Spillways as well as in spas. I think it works very well and saves me time on my route for those pools that need a small bit of vacuuming - bringing out my 50 ft hose and setting everything up - by that time, with the Percision I am done.
I see. That’s exactly what I was thinking. The precision cost quite a bit more than the previous models but I like how the batteries charge separate from the vacuum. How many pools do you service?
Any advice on the rite way to vacuum with a cartridge filter with a pool that has a lot of ash from a wildfire. Floc out has already been added and my G3 cleaner is picking it up but its getting recirculated back in. I guess manual vac with waste valve open is the best way
Cartridge filters generally do not have a backwash valve so no way to vacuum to "waste." The best advice - call a service guy who has a portable filter type vacuum system to vacuum it our for you. He will either have a clean-up pump or a vacuum system with a filter on a dolly. Should just be a standard service call fee. Otherwise you will need to invest in a portable clean up pump and for one use it probably is not a solid investment.
I hope water tech fixed the battery lid. The 1500 would leak and my 1500 wouldn't work. I think I'll wait wait a year and ask you how is the new model is holding up before I buy one.
They worked on this thing for 2 years to try to move away from the Pro 1500 deficiencies. It has more power - you can actually feel the suction if you put your hand over the vacuum hole and I am sure the water seal issue is solved. The Lithium Batteries are feather light and don't get hot while charging. I am using it everyday to give it a rigorous testing - just vacuumed my own pool with it in 5 minutes. But yeah, I can see why your a bit leery. My Pro 1500 is still working.
I hope they did fix the problems with the 1500 I just really worry about that battery lid. For 700 i think I paid for the 1500 I would had expected it to have a waterproof seal. How much is this new mode going for?
I put both units side by side and the battery latch is reversed on the Precision and tighter - you pull the handle up vs pushing it down. Plus I think the heavy battery didn't help matters for the Pro 1500. It sells for $800.00.
I can definitely see water tech made a lot of improvements from the 1500. It definitely has more power how long does it take to charge one of the batteries? Thanks Dave for always being the tester for us haha. Hopefully I can make a video of the bottom feeder that I have. June there coming out with a cartridge that hooks on it and it's just like vacuuming a pool.
It takes about 3 hours in the house, I had one connected to the car charger as I was driving around and it charged completely during that day. That sounds like a cool attachment. I will have to get one of those.
No, A robotic cleaner is better than just about any cleaning tool. This is just a different way to vacuum a pool. I love dropping a Robot in and 2 hours later the pool is 100% spotless.
Hey Beau 😃. This is more of an all purpose cleaner, I've been testing it by vacuuming complete pools. The larger pools I had to stop twice to empty the bag. It has about as much suction as a vac head attached to an automatic cleaner hose on a side port, so you are moving a little slower than with the manual vac. But it is a drop in and go device. It is a tad big for vacuuming some spas as it needs 12' of water to work. I am going to carry both the FX-8 and this on my truck. This is a great time saver and Water Tech spend 2 years overhauling the Pro 1500 to get to the Precision. It's convenient to have for sure. A pool guy in Florida said that you can try one for 24 hours if you contact the Water Tech Rep - not sure about that myself.
I've been using it everyday. It has it's limitations like really large leaves and the top step area of a pool. But I use it on pools that need light/ medium vacuuming, pools with automatic cleaners that need spot vacuuming and in Infinity Edge though. It works well. It is a great time saver.
Swimming Pool Tips, Reviews & How To -MrDgvb1 thank you, yes I will be definitely adding that to my equipment collection. I been waiting for them to bring one out I think this is satisfying enough for me. Thank you so much for all your videos you been a great help in tough situations.
My experience with Water Tech has been that they are poor quality. We go thru 4-5 of the conventional Pool Blasters per year because they don't last....lucky if you get 50 uses out of them before the electronics break down. I didn't mind when you could buy them for $125, but now the prices are up at about $175 so we're looking for an alternative. I am really reluctant to pay over $500 for one of their "commercial" units if the quality is no better than the residential units. Unfortunately, they are the only game in town.
I think their newer versions with the sealed plug are much better. My Volt FX8 is going strong and I would say it has over 400 uses thus far. The Pro versions are a bit overpriced for sure but my Precision 2.0 is still working after almost 2 years.
Very nice but one hour it would be kinda hard since I have to vacuum 90% of all the pools and there all over 50gl big ugly pools nice but ugly to clean only blowers in most and most blowers don't clean pool that get super dirty ppl love trees and even more when there next to the pool this years weather is killing me
Some regions it will work in like Florida with all those screened in pools. I have several pools on my route that this works well for, but yes, not an every pool vac.
Does it filter dirt and can replace a manual vac or does it just hold leaves and bypass dirt like the bottom feeder
It can hold a good amount of dirt in the sand silt bag.
I have 60 normal pools on my route. Is it good enough to get the job done. Does it work like it shown in the video
Yes. It will work great for light vacuuming of pools on your route. If you can go to the pool show in your area you can get it at a discount price from the Water Tech booth.

Gotta keep it submerged to work.
I run a resort with a huge pool and need to vacuum it basically one hour a day every day, do you think this machine can be a daily work horse ?
It's not designed for that. Look into the VacDaddy
@@SPL Thanks ! Not sure that’s available here in Europe. Why do you think the Precision is not suitable anyway?
Do you know if the hose attachment from FX8Li could fit onto this Precision 2.0 model? The reason why I am asking is because I would like to check if I could vacuum tight underwater spaces in the small fountains and spas where the water level is very shallow.
I never tried it on the Precision. You could call Weter Tech and they will know for sure.
What are you thoughts on this vs the bottom-feeder?
Two different machines. The Bottom feeder is more for leaf debris. This one is more like traditional manual vacuuming.
Good video cool vac I could use one but then I live in So Cal and we get them Santa ana winds and once I had 6 inches of dirt in the bottom of my pool had to drain shovel it out.
Sounds like you need a Power Vac PV2100 😀

They should be able to match up one from another cleaner. They are all pretty similar. I wouldn't know off hand though.

They are basically the same machine.

It is a cool tool. 👍
I can’t find this tool for sale anywhere. I’ve checked with pool Corp also and they can’t either. Any advice?
Strange that SCP can't find it in their systems. You can buy it online also: www.recsupply.com/precision-2-0li-commercial-cc500pl50

The Caddy Box
