True character is revealed not in words but in actions, especially when no one is watching. This video beautifully reminds us of the subtle signs that speak louder than appearances. Thank you for sharing such timeless wisdom!
Stoic philosophy continues to resonate with people today. Its emphasis on resilience, self-control, and focusing on what we can control offers valuable tools for navigating the challenges of modern life.👍
I’m 31 years old. Over the past two years I’ve changed my life. With hard work, dedication and focus. I began exercising everyday and waking up early and making my bed. It wasn’t fun every day. Some days I didn’t want to go. But I still did. And it’s paying off now. I’m thankful for the will I’ve had to keep going. My friends don’t understand me. They just want to play golf, smoke dope and drink beer. I like to play golf but now I look at them and see the old me. Out of shape mentally and physically. It’s a reminder to keep going. I ask them to join me but you can’t force someone to change. They have to come to that themselves.
Such an insightful video! Observing these 5 things is a practical and powerful way to understand someone’s true character. Thank you for sharing!
1. Watch how they treat service workers
2. How they treat animals
3. How they react to other people's success
4. How they handle no
5. Observe their jokes
After a promotion to Supervisor at work a Friend said, "You got that job because You know how to talk right".
I said that I got the promotion because of my work ethic and ability to do that job - by accident. I never cared for a promotion. I only enjoyed doing my job well and being paid well.
He heard me. He eventually adjusted His behavior by choice. Perhaps what I said, including acknowledging my promotion moved Him in some manner. Maybe.
I believe He made changes for reasons of His own. I believe He grew in a similar manner that I often do. Changes simply made sense in the moment.
Life is great because there's so much more work to do.
Very good advice. Love the Stoics!! Great!😊😊

Interesting discovery for me here.tq for ur wise revelation.gb us all
I know some people are very nice to service worker , nice to animals, nice to co workers but cruel to their wives and children so how can we recognise them on a date or outside their house? Men who are nice, thoughtful, polite, gentle with everyone except their wife and kids? Could you please explain that for me?
Identifying individuals who appear kind publicly but are abusive privately can be challenging. However, certain behaviors may serve as warning signs:
- Controlling Behavior: They may attempt to dominate conversations or make decisions for others, subtly imposing their will.
- Disrespecting Boundaries: Watch for signs of impatience or disregard when you assert your personal boundaries.
- Inconsistent Treatment: Notice if their behavior shifts between charm and subtle hostility, depending on the situation.
- Excessive Jealousy or Possessiveness: Early signs of jealousy can indicate potential for emotional abuse.
- History of Unstable Relationships: Frequent past conflicts or estranged relationships can be red flags.
- Lack of Empathy: They may show little genuine interest in others' feelings or experiences.
Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it's essential to prioritize your safety and well-being. Engaging in open conversations and observing consistent behavior over time can provide deeper insights into someone's true character. Wishing you all the best!
Its easy to be pleasant to people who dont expect anything from you ,But family ?It takes real maturity to be always patiw=ent with them, especially men.

Wonderful
Some dog lovers can be terrible people too. Many times a narcissist can only keep a pet because all their friends abandon them when they realize how toxic they are.
Nice
It is a wonderful video and very nice listening to you. We do get a glimpse of our own self. I can .particularly relate to the fourth one...the way we handle No. It is an eyeopener.
You voice is impressive Sir. Thanks again

Covert narcissists easily pass these tests.
Yes very nice to animals very polite to service workers. But behind closed doors the they will cut your soul all the way in half with a smile and blame you why they did it. Coverts are the hardest to deal with in my opinion.

I have recently come accross your videos and very much enjoy them. They are very insightful, reflective and something everyone can learn and practice in their lives. For this particular video when using the general term "animal" would you be considering all animals or just the ones focused on in this video, mainly dogs and cats? If "animal" here is inclusive beyond dogs and cats, I wonder then what it says about our societal character in relation to how we treat the majority of animals that end up on our plates? These other animals bear little difference in the needs mentioned here; in their innocence, purity, desire for survival and connection. Yet in the places where the majority of our meat comes from, they endure endless torment and abuse until their lives are taken away from them using brutal methods such as the gas chambers used for pigs who are equally or more intelligent than the dogs in our homes. Is the dog then, who was kicked at the barbecue in your story, more worthy of our consideration and kindness than the animal being barbecued? Is the animal on the barbecue JUST a pig, a cow, a chicken? Assuming, of course that the guests were not barbecuing plant based food. Do we not actively partake in their mistreatment, seeing them only as something to control unnecessarily when we have the capacity to choose not to? Do we not bring about their continued abuse with the demand of our purchases? Seneca the stoic, who had abstained from eating meat for a period, admired the teachings of Sextius, born in 70 BC. Sextius's reasoning, Seneca writes in his Epistles, is that he believed man had enough to eat without having to resort to blood, that a habit of cruelty is formed whenever butchery is practised for pleasure. I reflect then, considering the state of our world, if we can't show compassion, empathy, understanding to these creatures too, is it not reflected on how we approach the world around us?
