As a Dutch person living on the other side of the country, it strikes me how expensive Amsterdam is compared to where I live. Even the prices for junk food, like a McDonalds meal, are a lot higher over there.
Hi, I was wondering what the rent on your current apartment is (if you’d rather not share that I completely understand). Just found your channel and love your content so far! Nice to see a fellow South African’s life in the Netherlands🥰
I’m starting my 2nd year and I got invited to be interviewed at one of the big 4 companies and my interview is in about a week. I feel like this is a subject where lots of people get anxious because they don’t know what to expect. Can you maybe do a video or give some tips what to expect in the interview? It would be much appreciated. And also your videos helped me a lot on deciding towards this degree, thanks a lot!
Hey!! Did you already have your interview?? I am so sorry for not making a video. I have been so busy at work. I will try to make one that will maybe help others and you if you go for another one. Really hope it went well!! Please let me know if you want to on how it went?
@@christinasdream5398 Hi, good news, it ended up with them offering a training contract and I have already signed. Thanks for the reply though, I understand you are busy, but I’m sure your advice would have helped.
Hi thanx this has been very useful and informative. Can you give me an idea of what the difference in cost would be for a pet friendly place. And do u use a cleaning service and costing around that?
Out of context from the video but I watched your chartered accountant video and I have a few questions What subjects did you take in school? And where did you go to school? You sound South African And where did you study after school
Hey! I had maths, science, biology, accounting and then the usual once. I went to school in Durban (Afrikaans school). And yes I am from SA 😃. I studied at NWU.
Hey! Thanks for all the info. I have a question: I work for a Dutch company and I’m about to start the process of immigrating, but I’m married and we have a son. My company is applying for me - if I get approved, does my family automatically get approved or how does that work?
Hi Christina, great video!! Im from Johannesburg. Can you please share how you went about looking for a job in the Netherlands? Im in the Software Development and Digital Marketing space at the moment and I would love to work in the Netherlands.
Hi Leigh, I will try to make a video on this. But my first suggestion would be to check the vacancies/ jobs on LinkedIn in the Netherlands in your specific industry.
need to know CA that I have two options 1- i should go for acca 2- i go bachelors degree after completing my bachelors i will get exempt of 8 papers of acca which option would be better and best
From personal experience, I think if you can do ACCA right away with an accounting role, do it. It will take 3-4 years. Getting a bachelors degree and then going to do ACCA takes a bit longer (3/4 years bachelors plus ACCA 1-2years with exemptions). You don’t need a degree for ACCA.
@@christinasdream5398 may I ask why is it that people never reveal which company in particular they work for or ever show like that building. Is it because you choose not to or is it a policy that has been put forth. And thank you so much for your videos for the first time in my studies to become a CA i actually feel like I know what I could really expect
Hey!! Very good question hehe. In my case I did not mention the company as I dont want my social media to me linked to my professional career in the sense of the company I work for. Its a very ethical job and I dont want to put myself in any risk of showing something that I am not allowed or mentioning something I am not allowed to. I want to share my life and experiences but not necessarily the company.
You can work it out based on the minimum amounts I provided in the video. Should be at least 2k net if you look at 1.4k and then that is no extras just to live and survive.
I really love your vlogs but i should give u a little advice that plzz make short video like 5 to 7 mins and improve your editing skills more then promise your chanel growth goes up quickly :-)
I was looking for a recent upload video regarding the cost of living in the netherlands! Thank you so much
Hoped it helped 😃🤗
Love your videos! You actually gave me the confidence to start my own RUclips channel😊🌷
Ahh that makes me super happy to hear. Will check out your channel now 😀😀🤍🤍

Hope it makes sense. Its just cuz of the nature of the work and the fact that we deal with very sensitive information.
What a gross income you need to rent something between 1k and 1.4k ?
