Upgrade! Carbon Offroad Axle Shafts!

- This week we're installing some Carbon Offroad axle shafts in my buddies Jeep Wrangler JK. He bent the factory shafts as many of us have done and needed to get something stronger. Carbon Offroad is a great company that provides top quality products for a great price and i think these are a great fit for Steve. I replaced my rear axle shafts a couple of years ago with Yukon Gear and Axle which are, in my opinion, one of the best companies around for gear and axle products. If you're looking for axle shaft upgrades for your Jeep Wrangler i would strongly recommend either of these great companies! One difference i noticed between the Carbon Offroad axle shafts and the Yukon Gear and Axle shafts was the assembly. I had to press the bearings on my Yukon Gear and Axle shafts as well as the tone rings where my buddy Steve didn't have to do that as all Carbon Offroad products come assembled and ready to install.
This install is pretty straight forward as you will see in the video, should only take the average guy a couple of hours in his garage using basic tools. Steve makes quick work of this install with his "get right to it" attitude and gets the job done quickly.

Great upgrade video!
JK southwest thanks. Hopefully this helps some people that haven't done something like this before
Great video of the install made it look really easy . And a killer choice for shafts. I chose the same but had Adams Driveshaft install them front and rear when they did our 5.13’s. Chromoly’s are a must for the rocks.
AZ WESTSIDE WHEELERS totally agree. I went with Yukon gear and axle shafts and gears and they've been great. Some day I'll get Adams drive shafts as well 👍
Red Rock Crawlers very nice. The Adams 1350’s are pure beef you will love them. What gear Ratio did you go with 5.13?
Awesome video! crazy how bad those axles were before they were swapped out, you could see the wobble in the brakes.
Thanks for posting this. I have to do this myself soon, and now I'm not as concerned. Still going to try and find some experienced help if I can.
its not a hard swap out. Hope you got it done! good luck
Carbon ,axle shalf jk rubicon in good wiht 38 tires
I could use a set of those I think mine might be bent a little
yeah if you're still running stock shafts its not a bad idea. I had already replaced mine because of the same issue.
Hi amigo l ,want know this is good 38 tires ,,,,in the vidio look strong.
Francisco Tavarez hi there. I don't have personal experience with these shafts on 38 tires. I know some guys locally running these with 37's and have really enjoyed the Carbon Offroad shafts. I'm sure these will work for 38's also. Hope that helps
I'm considering these axle shafts for my TJ. But they are most certainly not made in the USA.
They cost the same as Revolution made in America... but indeed dont mention made in the USA anywhere
Now that it’s been a few years, what do you think?
Hey great question! My friend still had them in his jeep. I upgraded to Yukon gear and axle shafts about the same time and mine are also still going strong 💪
You made that look too easy
jimmy jk332 haha yeah maybe. I mean it's not a hard install but I didn't include much of the frustration and cursing lol
My Carbon shafts do the same with the brakes and Ron at Carbon Offroad says they are in tolerance and will not warranty them. Buyer beware.
Great company and products, but these shafts are NOT made in the U.S.A.
