Instead of releasing overflow water to open ground surface you can redirect it to underground soakpit also to recharge underground water levels. We've been doing this at my home for last 17 years and encouraging people to do such a good KARMA giving back to nature.
Thanks for the information and guidance. The problem is that we do not have a soak pit connection at this side of the house due to which connecting this to soakpit is not possible for now. This was why I had to let it go like this.

No it is not necessary if you just want to do ground water recharge. For that just make sure to add sufficient filtering material to the recharge pit so that the filtered water goes to underground so that it does not polluted the same. There are many videos on RUclips which shows you how to do that 👍😊

How to retain water in a pond in dry sandy land. I have dug a pond, but there is no water throughout the year, but there is a stream which flows by the side of the pond, throughout the year which comes from the big river branch.
Underground pani bhejne ke liye aapko sokta gaddha banana hoga but yaha par hamne aise nhi kiya hai. Hamara aim tha ki ham supply ke pani par nirbharta kam kare aur suppy pani nhi aane ki condition me hamare pass pani available rahe.
Nhi honge agar aap ye pakka karenge ki pani dhaka huwa rahe aur usme roshni naa jane paye. Iske alawa agar nirdharit matra me clorine daal denge to wo disinfectant ka kaam karega.
Agar aap pani ko peene ke liye use nhi kar rahe hain to filtration ki jaroorat nhi hogi kyuki normal filtration to ek jali se hi ho jayega. But agar peene ke liye use karna hai to better hai isko RO se yah aur kisi filter ka use kar le.
Aapka suggestion bahut acha hai aur agar possible ho to aisa jaroor karna chahiye. Mere pass soakpit banawane ki jagah nhi hai aur hamare yaha boaring karwana bhi allowed nhi hai.
