Never seen a car more obviously designed to be a dedicated robotaxi. No supercharger port, no b pillar, no side mirrors, bench seats, 2 seater, all boot, no phone charger, no glove box… Cybercab is cab. End of.
They said the afforable models are going to be built on the existing production lines. However, the Cybercab will use the Unboxed process. This means the afforable models can NOT be the Cybercab, or variations of it.
This makes a lot of sense. Tesla is expending a lot of resources on the refreshed Model Y. A Cybercab with a wheel and pedals enables them to begin production in the first half of 2025.
I don't think that's a steering wheel. It doesn't look fully "frontal" as it should from that angle the picture was taken, but slightly bend. Look closely.
Ive been telling people this on X for a while now. Didnt seem to get any traction. They also talk about this option in Elons Biography. I dont see any other way Tesla could release a new model the first half of 25 without leaks. Q3 Earnings call Elon also said it didnt make sense to make a 25K car with robotaxi coming
Unless you have a 50K following on X you won't get a reply, big boys only speak to each other.. Such a one sided platform, I'd certainly not pay for it.
The key is whether this car can be easily made into a 4-seater. Given the nature of low-priced models, it would be meaningful if it were a volume model that sells a lot, but it is hard to think that this would be possible unless it has 4 doors and 4 seats. However, I wonder if it would be easy to match the price of 30k-33k while converting it into a 4-door 4-seater sedan.
I said ages ago cybercab will be sold as there cheap option .. and can be used as taxi as well he did say people could earn from buy the cheap car ..plus its 1 quick way to flood the citys with robotaxi s but didnt 5hink would have steering whell cos if it was fsd only u wouldnt need a drivers licence to own one so ud sell even more ..

This is a very well thought-through analysis and forecast. Thank you AJ!
Gruß aus Deutschland.
That looks like an absolutely enormous steering wheel! No way
It doesn't look like a steering wheel tbh. not fully "frontal" if you look closely but bend. Maybe a shadow.

great stuff AJ!!!

they have to test Cybercab with a wheel first so that it can learn for itself.
thanks for this video
Would be crazy if this is sold with a steering wheel
A suck it and see philosophy byTesla is a profoundly sound argument, Alojoh. It allows their speed of change ability to shine through.

Sandy called this ages ago too.
2 seat, 2 door would not be a big seller. It needs 4 seats to compete with all the small hatchbacks, golf, polo, fiats, Renault etc.
One problem - Elon's definition of 1H 25 is different to reality.
Stating this in the investors deck vs what Elon says is a big difference
this is not a steering wheel
$99/mo lease?

Do you imagine it as a 2- or 4 seater?
Ideally 4 seats
Don't want to sound negative, but there is no way it will be released in 2H2025. Tesla hasn't even installed the production lines at Giga Texas.
Huh? You have no idea what is happening in Giga Austin.
@@Blade70 I watch Joe Tegtmeyer's drone videos every week, most of the equipment stored near the outbound lot hasn't been moved into the factory yet.
