- I'm alive!!! After not playing for more than two months due to a back injury, I'm finally back behind the kit. Rusty but happy! So, here's to celebrate a remake of one of the most known Rush songs. Not perfect but at this point, I'm just glad to be able to play! Enjoy!

I think Neal Peart would have been proud to hear this guy play his drum parts. What an amazing drummer. I'd like to see him with his own band playing original music. Awesome drummer!
Thank you! I've played with bands in the past, including doing some original work. But, those days were for my younger self... ;)

No, I could but rarely do that. For one simple reason: there is no "making it my own" with these songs. I do that as a tribute to Neil, not to myself. Who am I to mess up with his creations?

I cannot believe he even plays the chime part just like Rush (Neil Peart) and what a cover -- I have seen his other videos also!! He makes me appreciate how difficult this is to play (being a drummer myself).

@roji556 There is no shortcut I'm afraid. Practicing is important to develop good technique but listening to lots of music, understanding what is going on, and stay humble in your quest of becoming of better musician are all important as well. And don't worry, we all started by playing simple beats.... It will all come together with time and perseverance. Good luck!
Very well said. Too many people think its something "your born with". Sure there is a small degree of that.....but the vast majority is WORK WORK WORK.
This guy needs to come back to RUclips and the internet in general. Feel like this was filmed on my grandmas camera she only pulled out for Christmas parties but the guy is still better then most drummers I see on RUclips today. You need to make new content man. Your a fantastic drummer!

Thank you! To duplicate Rush, you need to play with lots of power so this is part of the display of energy I guess. Neil used to display a lot of energy as well in the past, much more so than in the recent years.

With my eyes shut u sound magnificent great to see you back behind your kit! I’ve had 7 on my lower back and one on my neck after my 7th back surgery with titanium rods was worried I’d never b able to play my kit again but all good now! Good luck with your back!
