  • A renewed offensive by M23 fighters in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has forced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes.
There are reports of extrajudicial killings, torture and rape.
The rebel group has ignored international appeals for a ceasefire and is now marching on Goma, the regional capital.
UN investigators have found evidence that Rwanda's military is backing M23 fighters.
Uganda has also been accused of providing support. Both governments deny the charges.

My people of Congo, my heart bleeds as a Kenyan seeing brother fighting another brother. You can talk and understand each other for peace to be. You don't need guns to bring peace but diplomacy is the key. You don't need to be taught to hate each other but love the one who tells you ,love one another. You have a good country for agriculture and minerals. Don't let the proxies steal your gold, diamonds, hard wood for timber and uranium. Don't let Uganda and Rwanda set scores in your country by taking sides in the conflict. Please 🙏 pray and commit these challenges to God. May the almighty God bless Congo.

We are here faced with the absurdity and nonsense of the claim by the M23, which exposes even more the hand of Kagame in the whole affair. Before Kagame's arrival, the Rwandan refugee community has always lived in peace in DRC. One has just to look at all the mansions they built along the lake Kivu. The DR Congo has about 400 tribes and many have populations also found on the other side of the borders with other neighboring countries of the Congo but none of these ethnic groups has ever considered taking up arms against the country and violently kill hundreds of thousands of their compatriots. Isn't this the logical proof we have all been looking for that the M23 is not from this big Congolese family, which they have been so much claiming to being part of and wanting so much to integrate. Is it not absurd that they are asking to be accepted in a family that they hate so much, their actions demonstrating it? Two: If this nonsense is to really be believed that they are being discriminated against because of their Rwandan origins, having taken refuge in Congo from Rwanda when things were not going well in Rwanda, what then is holding them back to returning to Rwanda where they have or will have all their identity respected and intact now that everything is going well in this country and thus that they did not bring any land nor other properties from Rwanda to Congo? Don't they think there is unparalleled selfishness in their claim and an intention then to want to consider themselves more special than the 400 other tribes that form the population of Congo and do not want to mix with them, which would ironically be the same problem they are used to be fighting between Tutsi and Hutu back home? It is not a secret anymore that through history, Nilotic people (Tutsis) have always pushed south into Bantu territories in search of more riches, power, and land, dispossessing the Bantus through all sorts of malignances, among them was marrying their tall and beautiful women to Bantu chiefs before poisoning them for the control of the kingdoms. So, what you have here, is just that agenda at play with another substile means. The problem is Kagame and its elite. The revival of the old obscure Tustsi power agenda by Kagame in East Africa came to jeopardize the life of a Rwandan community which until then had integrated well into the Congo; A community which had never wished would find itself taken hostage in this plan of hegemony of the Rwandan elite. Kagame's calculation of wanting to superimpose two opposing objectives is only an excuse to keep this region destabilized as he does with the story of the FDLR, to continue to draw resources from the Congo through a small window. The only solution that I see here to deal with this mud is that if the Congolese populations of the East and of Rwanda have no problem between them if not with the Rwandan elite since they rub shoulders and transact every day in peace, Rwanda would rather be a province of Congo managed by a governor as it was in the time of Congo - Rwanda - Urundi territory. In any case, all the riches that Rwanda owns belongs to the Congo; They were all sucked from the Congo and Ill-gotten gains never profit. The advantages of this are multiple:
    1. Like any tribe in the hundreds of tribes of the Congo, all are Congolese, and their nationals can make their living in any part of the Congo, in democracy and without the law of arms.
    2. The thorny problem that Rwanda has between only two antagonistic ethnic groups will be diluted by their integration into a larger family of Congolese tribes living in harmony.
It is therefore up to the world to seriously think about it to help bring these peoples out of the imprisonment by the Rwandan elite in which they find themselves.

so-called MOSTLY EUROPEAN "refugees" are there to NEUTRALIZE the VISIBILITY of UK-FRANCE MERCENARIES helping the M23 so that they can think these are just REFUGEES not MERCENARIES...so its NOT about the "brother" killing brother, its about THE FUNDERS who POUR ALL their IMPERIALISTICCONNIVING Strategies into using whoever is MOST EXPLOITABLE to RAPE the CONTINENT. all UK, & FRANCE and THE CHURCH has to do is THREATEN the TUTSIS that the HUTUS land that they OCCUPY since the BROTHERLY HUTUS hosted them when theycame down as PASTORALISTS as ALL NILOTES did when coming down south, willbe MOBILIZED, RADICALIZED and then SET up against the TUTSIS AGAIN, and where will the TUTSIS in Rwanda and their TUTSI brother the ANKOLE of Uganda GO? they HAVE TO PLAY the IMPERILISTS GAME otherwise TUTSI will BE TOAST!... its more complicated...TUTSIS have to DECIDE how to LIVE WITH the OTHER BANTU people and STOP this "superiotity" shenanigans they PRESUME to have over the OTHER BANTUS in the region becauseof their COLONIZING FUNDERS who use the DRC MINERALS to FUND Rwand-Uganda to HELP THEM EXPLOIT DRC!...clearly UK & FRANCE are RAPING DRC Congo's resources through THEIR PROXY the Rwandan president, thats why he is BOLD TO IGNORE the EA Community because HIS FUNDERS use him to EXTRACT DRC Resources through Rwanda, UGANDA, CHAD SUDAN-TIGREY-DJIBOUTI or ERITREA and OUT to THE SEA! its Africans SILK ROAD for PRECIOUS MINERALS of the continent, so he will NOT BACK DOWN because he has the WORLD SUPER POWERS backing him!lol when will African EVER learn?

KENYA AND BURUNDI cannot be exploiting DRC, because those COLONIZERS supporting UG and Rwanda would NEVER LET THEM! and because the MINERAL SILK ROAD out of DRC is RWANDA, UGANDA SUDAN TIGRAY DJIBOUTI and out headed for CHINAS SCHENZEN TECH industries produing for UK FRANCE USA tech companies... what DRC needs to do is understand that the WARS are not about CONGOLESE PEOPLE but the EUROPEAN AND ARAB peoples EWXPLOITATION of the MINERALS for THEIR TECH INDUSTRIES and so they DONT CARE who FACILITATES that exploitation as long as they GET THEIR MINERALS. WHEN Rwanda and Uganda REFUSE to help them, they will use DARKSKIN INTERNATIONAL MERCENARIES ENTERING Rwand-Uganda like JOSEPH KONE to DISTABILISE their countries while DOING what M23 is doing still! African leaders NEED WISDOM and to be WORLDLIWISE and most of all LOVE FOR THEIR OWN, and the FUTURE of their own CHILDREN to AGREE to DEFEND Africas RESOURCES AS A CONTINENT-form a MILITARY that DEFENDS AFRICA from MERCENARIES...then maybe they willbe able to PROTECT what belongs to the continent as ONE PEOPLE-sell those minerals to FUND THE AFRICA MILITARY for the DEFENCE OF AFRICAS RESOURCES WHEREVER they may be INT THE CONTINENT as a CONTINENT...yes they MUST say AFRICA IS A COUNMTRY when it comes to policing THE NATURAL WEALTH of the continent...

Congratulations to the journalist for the perfect questions and to the panelists for the clear and correct answers that finally help to put into perspective what is really happening in the East of DRC in a fatal game of greed and death. However, there are also 2 cards that are not being often mentioned in any interview that Rwanda is playing for its own interest while taking advantage of the role that it is given by multinationals wanting mineral for free in this conflict: There is something that cameras are not succeeding to capture in this most part of the East DRC perhaps because the focus is on the people misery or for the usual reason of presenting Africa in the bad light or for not wanting to attract more sharks around a good meal, and this is the breathtaking beauty of the landscape doubled with a moderate temperate climate and beautiful lakes. People call it "Switzerland in Africa". Having tested what tourism and more space can bring to a small area of the region that is Rwanda, Kagame is drooling for that vast paradise. I think the deal with his friend in crime is "help me detach that part from the DRC and all the billions and good life for ourselves". In the process, he has already erased 10 million Congolese people, which was 80% of the population of Eastern DRC, to move its own, there. From that, we can have a glimpse in what he is using M23 for and one has just to listen to the narrative of segregation given by the M23. This is a carefully planned agenda that was started with the genocide of Rwandese people to push millions of so called “Rwandese Hutu refugees” into the DRC, when it was in fact part of the Kagame army crossing into the Congo to commit the Congolese genocide. A modern Hitler, indeed!

So, nothing new with that tactical distraction and deception or show me a single Tutsi or Hutu for that matter who is unhappy with his living conditions in DRC and I will show you hundreds of thousands of them who with the riches they found in Congo have built mansions along the Kivu lakes beaches and are enjoying themselves with their beautiful boats. Brother Wasonga, I am a Kenyan too bro but the Kenyan soldiers can’t do anything in Congo. Just like in Somalia they would start exploiting the Congolese resources like the charcoal trade they did in Somalia. The soldiers value their lives more than those they are debt to protect. The Congo situation is terrible but it needs a holistic approach and effective response from all stakeholders. Bringing in others who are armed is too confusing for the innocent Congolese who have no where to go. Their government soldiers are not soldiers you would want to run to because they themselves are one sided and have been documented to cause harm including rape , extra judicial killings and mass displacement . I believe the foreign soldiers will add fire to the fuel remember we had the so called UN peace keepers who were just enjoying and protecting themselves when civilians were attacked and killed a kilometre or two from their bases. We all know black lives doesn’t matter. Everyone is trying to gain from this chaos. The only way to address long standing calamities is through a Congolese initiatives supported by the AU, the neighbour countries. Once a sustainable Congolese initiative is created the foreign elements which are a dozen of them can be addressed in a more unified response. First and foremost we need a unified and blessed Congolese initiative with political, religious, women, youth and the participation of all ethnic groups including minorities.

@@jossewasonga1016 bro it’s just easier to say than done. Kenyan forces would stay in one place like an airport, they have never fought a guerrilla war before. Remember before they went to Somalia the Kenyan army used to be called the retirement army because you could join the force and retire without firing a gun. I agree that diplomacy won’t work here because it hadn’t worked. But I believe that it needs a holistic communal approach where all the stakeholders in the Congolese side including civil society organisations , women, religious leaders, youth are brought to the table and create a roadmap for peace. Once a declaration is made, with one strong voice from all the parties then it’s time to inform all foreign troops to leave the country ( foreign I mean those that are deemed meddling with the country’s affairs. Once that happens a trusted peace keeping mission is implemented and Congolese government can start the reconciliation process to unite its people. The problem right now is the government is corrupt and ineffective and does not deliver anything including basic human services. The Congolese army is corrupt and weak to even fend one rebel group by itself. They need to get acts together for the sake of their citizens.

Kagame was a strong leader who protected his people when the odds were against them and brought his country to be the most beautiful place on earth with so much potential for all its citizens even with no retaliation to those who committed the worst atrocities in humanity. Congolese problems need a holistic Congolese approach which unites all its people and the involvement of women, religious leaders, youth and all the stakeholders without the intervention of any other country.
