- I'm back in Wales for the weekend and my first stop - Afan Forest Park. Having been VERY impressed by the trails "Y Wal" and "Whites Level" on my last visit, I wanted to give another one of the popular scenic trails a go.

In my humble opinion, I found the above to trails more enjoyable than Blade. If I was to recommend a friend to visit this trail centre I would personally recommend giving either of these 2 a go. However, I did still enjoy Blade.

Done this yesterday afternoon and we found it’s a lot of work for a few short downs! Whites is much better in my opinion

Thanks man! 😁 Yeah Afan is fantastic, great trails and great scenery. I did enjoy this trail but I did find it to be the most xc out of the 3 I’ve done (whites level and y wal). But we’ll worth it imo!
The initial climb takes some forethought. It's a bit annoying if you were expecting a steady spin-up. I think Whytes Level trail a very nice loop. Energy section really flows and sooo green like fairy land. I did enjoy the Blade black section although did not attempt the big rock.
So sick, scenery looks so nice. Quality vid as always!

Great video, Blade and Skyline are great trails,a lot of up hill / xc . Looks like you missed Beacon view and Heartburn off the blade trail, both are nice downs after a lot of climbing, last section of hokey kokey is one of my favourites up Afan, unfortunately it's followed by groovy gully which is a leg killer at that stage of the ride. 🥵🥵😂😂🏴🏴
Yes it did surprise me a little how much xc it was, but enjoyed it nevertheless! Groovy gully does ring a bell but I can’t remember anymore. All I know is that blade did finish off my legs 😂

Nice videos man! Just watch this one and the Wall video, how do you think the two compare/which did you think was the better loop? Heading to Afan in a few weeks along with BPW and not sure which trails to do at Afan. I think the wall looks better overall from the videos!
