My deepest respect to all of you that do this work. Thank you for returning the fallen to their respective countries. From America. Much love and respect.
You guys are seriously the best. Your dedicated effort to find and return the remains of your past enemy is amazing. It's dangerous to do and I pray that you all are protected from harm. May God bless you for your efforts.
From the damage inflicted on the bodies, there was some heavy fighting and a lot of movement back and forth during the course of action. Thank you for the research and recovery. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
Do you experience sadness when you discover these poor young men? I think it must be emotionally challenging to think of the last moments of their lives, as indicated by their injuries, and to uncover their long-lost remains. But it must also be very uplifting for the families of the men you exhume so carefully, and who finally get their loved ones back, for official burial. Thank you.
You guys earn my deepest respect not just for reserving the skeletons but for haw hard you work and the fact that your not afraid to get your hands dirty. I am all the way in America.
Thank you for handling these soldiers and their things with dignity. The dead are there watching. Now they can be laid to rest. Again thank you for your work, may God bless your crew.
It is a overwhelming moment to find someone who died fighting who had a life and knew people and to realize what their lives were and who they served for is really amazing. Great job!
Although enemies during the war, I appreciate the work and the respect you show while working during your excavations. A soldier is a soldier once the politics has had a chance to be written in the history books.
So many hole ID tags I'm so glad you guys take the time to find the fallen it would be great if there was a follow up video on the identity of these soldiers from their ID tags excellent video again guys 👍
These German soldiers were bitter enemies at the time it's possible these German soldiers even performed horrific atrocities yet these guys treat them with respect and return them to their country and hopefully they will be buried with full military honor. This is proof even when we see the worst of humans we also see the best of humans. Much respect from the 🇺🇲
@@fredreinhard2091 The vast majority of soldiers were at least aware of of the atrocities, and a good amount of soldiers directly participated in some form or another, whether that was carrying out the Commissar Directive, shooting “partisans”, reprisal killings, liquidation of villages, etc.
@@Condobius All I can speak about is my father's experience. He drove a tank from 1941 to 1935. Russia to Italy back to Russia and captivity. Lived thru 75 Combat Missions and never spoke of seeing atrocities. He did speak of the Russians killing wounded when territory was lost. All history is tainted for obvious reasons.
@@fredreinhard2091 Your father was a fortunate man then. I’m going to go out on a limb and say being a tanker means his experience was somewhat different from the average infantryman because the tank units would never be tasked with liquidation operations or Bandenbekämpfung operations or necessarily witness atrocities on the advance. Or perhaps he simply didn’t speak on the subject or blocked it from memory due to the obvious implications of it. That being said, the historical research today very much indicates that the majority of Wehrmacht combat personnel were in some way shape or form aware of, witnesses to, or participants in, atrocities against the occupied populations or prisoners of war. Glad to see that your father was lucky enough to get through the conflict alive though, cheers!
Considering the fact that the first two soldiers were involved in an apparent artillery or mortar strike, with one being killed outright by an apparently close hit, I'm wondering if the other soldier was only wounded and then executed by Soviet soldiers that arrived later on to confirm their kill. That's probably why the boots were missing off of one of the Germans, it could be that one of the soldiers needed some new boots.
It’s good no matter what side anyone was, your doing them the greatest of honour by formally getting them a proper burial as records are bound to show who they may be.
In the end, all where at the war 1938 - 1945, some and many died at the period but as at 2022, all could have been dead now. So weather fallen or went down by age, they were all at the same point of dead risk and now they are all gone. Back to the ground - the earth. The services still matters, righting wrongs. Without people standing to right wrongs, the world will be too horrible to live in.
All Soldiers were Mother's children once. Only Governments make man 'enemies' to each other. Respect to those who honour our Father's remains (no matter the nationality).
Most, if not all, remains are buried at designated sites in the area. There is an organization called the German War Graves commission, they take care of that.
I hope you gave the dog tag to the german geverment. Only by this way, the families can clear the deth of their fatgers, sons, brothers or grandfathers.
One of the bodies had a cord attached, which was used to pull the body into a grave. The operation was probably carried out just after the battle by the side which conquered or kept the battle position.
Any estimate of how much history and non metallic material such as human remains and other stuff is lost due to the badger "archaeology" instead of just digging nice square holes following the different horizons?
You guys need to go to Italy and dig that’s where my grandfather fought and he said there were lots of stuff left behind old tanks and planes were buried in the sand rip Lauren 2016
By the end of the day, human is nothing and turn into dust when the soul leave the body. what pride and ego for? just a remain consist of skull and bone. helpless, static and dead. the main purpose of God created human being is to abide to Him until final breath and shall return to Him for judgement in Hereafter

Most German soldiers did not commit horrific atrocities! As I am sure not every Russian raped German Women in Berlin! War is the poison of Mankind!
SO, Every over Nation did?

MUCH RESPECT TO ALL THE TEAMS THAT DO GOOD WORK IN THIS AREA OF WORK .
Interesting that The helmet seems to Be older ww1 era helmet. Also The fact he's old would suggest he was a rear troops perhapse?

Where exactly was this? What city/town? and what battlefeild?
Good job. Did you give the name of these soldiers to the german administration (Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge) ?
Saluti dall'Italia 🇷🇺🇮🇹
How do you find these sites?
Are you returning them to germany
رائع
real history
im surprised even after the war the civis or millitary didnt go out and collect the ammo/guns/etc
I’m surprised how far down some of these are buried.
Wow!!!
Are these bones where the soldiers fell?? Or were they pushed into a mass grave??
One of the bodies had a cord attached, which was used to pull the body into a grave. The operation was probably carried out just after the battle by the side which conquered or kept the battle position.
@@XVRMEDIA thanks. I figured they were pushed into a mass grave.

To think mostly they just wanted to go home. I don't think they really wanted to die so far from home.
Do you have to wear camouflage to uncover the dead?
Top 🥰
English subtitles would be great

It's like some crime scene movie. Were it not for our knowledge that they are war dead. Hence wars are crime on a Mass scale.

OMG :(
So does “not a young soldier “ mean career military or old man conscripted as war was lost?
Either career military or a fella who didn’t take care of his teeth or got kicked in the face by a horse. Hella horses around back then
OMG 😱 😳🇹🇷👍love you Germany solders 🗡️😭😭
Continue to rot nazi's
