They aren’t being sent home, they get put in a cemetery after all their kit has been looted, they don’t even identify them. The theft and selling of the equipment and personnel items makes it worth their while, you’re kidding yourself if you think it’s being done for legitimate reasons. Look at all the helmets, dog tags, etc coming out of Eastern Europe on ebay, they are grave robbers, nothing more.

I think these digs are fantastic and really important. These digs could, cumulatively, add a lot to our knowledge and understanding of fighting on the Eastern Front in WW2. I really hope all the finds end up in a museum and the locations of each dig are exactly recorded. And of course, it is good to see these people being reburied in a military cemetery.

Love the soundtrack starting at 11:23. Fact is, you guys have had a lot of great sounding tracks over the years. Some I've recorded just to jam to. I really liked that one with the Hans Zimmer-ish haunting French horns layered for a buildup over a pumping synth rhythm that was so short you often looped it at least once. I don't know what that was, but it sure did sound cool. Very appropriate too. That Russian punk band sounding stuff was pretty cool as well. Doesn't matter where your from man, a good jam is a good jam.

It’s amazing to see these images you all found and recorded here that once sworn enemies, look like they died by each other’s hands. And lay together without knowing really in a sense, what happened to the other. Remarkable video of how they died one face down and one in a corner on his back. Forever froze to be now parted from one another after nearly 80 years of silence with no weapons being fired, and no fear of the other. Men who could of had been friends had it not been for the war and hate inflicted on one another by one mans actions!
Thank you ladies and gents for getting them the honour they deserve, even as both had different ideology’s. That your doing the honourable thing, in giving them the opportunity to be remembered, and laid to rest somewhere beside their own comrades.

You need to get a friend who speaks both English and Russian so he can translate for us. I'd love to know what is being said.

This is amazing. You can almost imagine these men in their final moments. Looks like the Russian died charging the German machingunner, and then more Russians came in after and shot the wounded German in the head.
