    Love the Content you make man,
    I have a question,
    I am doing my CA in India, and will be working in the big4s here for 3 years which is a part of the program.
    And I'm willing to work in the UK. So, how can I get to join the big4 in UK and what would be my starting position considering that I have 3 years of experience

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  2 года назад

      Hey, you'll need to enquire internally about a transfer. The starting position will depend on your department. If you're in audit, 3 years of experience will normally see you come in as a senior in the UK.

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  3 года назад

      Hey thanks for the feedback. I haven't come across management accountants in the firm I work for. Most of the employees are CAs and work in either or audit or tax. Management accounting is more conducive to working in industry according to me. Saying that, having the qualification is useful as it'll prove you have the technical knowledge, which is beneficial if you're applying for a role with the B4. Hope this makes sense.

    What would be the route for someone who has completed masters in accounting and finance from a UK university (no experience) and wants to do ACCA in future?

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  2 года назад

      Hey, getting on a grad scheme would be the best. They also accept masters students some of them. You'll get sponsored through the ACCA programme whilst on the grad scheme.

      Hey, both are great for knowledge and skills. The thing you want to be clear about is whether you want a career in tax or not. Its very specific technical knowledge you'll be gaining

    Hello! What would be the best route into finance with a BA in English? The entry level for the majority of masters programs require a background in economics. Should I consider a second degree or is there a faster way? Thanks in advance!

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  3 года назад +1

      For a career in Finance, you don't necessarily need a masters degree or have to had studied Econ/Fin/Acc. You can still get into Finance careers at a junior level with your background, just need to focus on getting internships/experience.
      If you want to go down the academic route, then yes. You'll need the academic knowledge that an undergrad degree provides. Hope that helps 🙂

    Please tell what role consultent play in coporate industry if they move to corporate world after big4 practice?
    Is there are opportunities for them in corporate industry or they remain stack in firm only as Consultants?

    • @FinanceUnboxed
      @FinanceUnboxed  3 года назад

      Hey, yes they definitely do have opportunities in corporates. They can naturally join the internal strategy teams or they can get into more operational roles such as supply chain etc. They can also utilise their modelling skills to transition into a finance focussed roles, but clearly they won't do much technical accounting or finance. Hope this helps 🙂

      Hey, I've come across a lot of ACCA accountants from India working at the Big 4. The qualification is well regarded in the UK so you shouldn't worry about that. In terms of how to apply, you'll have to go through each of the firm's websites and search for openings. Happy to answer anymore questions you have. Best of luck! 🙂
