Hi, Terri! Christmas Wishes looks like a fun project. I'll be watching your progress and give it a try another time. Could you show how to use the bobbins in your Tuesday Tidbits segment? Enjoy your channel very munch! Thank you - Paula
Watching this whilst making my Christmas eve wishes blanket! I started early because I'm a beginner 😅 I've just started the gingerbread section and im so looking forward to following your progress x
I saw this beautiful blanket just prior to last Christmas. My husband got me the yarn to make 2, 1 each for my grandsons. I planned on gifting it to them for *This* Christmas. Unfortunately, my eldest grandson, Carter age 13, passed away the end of January. I did finally complete his blanket, and I plan on giving to his mum. The blanket came out beautiful 😍, it’s very easy & lovely to do xxxx
I just finished Christmas Eve Wishes last week! My advice is use 2 sizes bigger hook on the tapestry and the candy stripes or thr tapestry part will be too tight. I did NOT use bobbins. It is my favorite project I have done since I learned how 4 years ago. I just watched her RUclips video. Now I am working on her Halloween Wishes. I crochet the bowties.
@@YarnjoyPodcast, I tried the bobbins and just didn’t like it this time so, I just started carrying it along. It doesn’t show much. I’m using 4-weight yarn and an H and I hook. I should have went up to a J hook in the snowflakes area because, it does slightly pull in. It is what it is though because, I’m NOT ripping it out!! Lol I’ll be starting part 3 later this evening.
Terri, just a heads up, when you get to part 3 where the gingerbread people are, the chart is only showing up to row 39 but, in the video she says it’s 40 rows. Somehow, she’s left off row 40 on the chart and, I’m going to be making another row in the cream for that. She starts off with 2 rows of cream so, I’m going to finish it with 2 rows of cream.
I'm using signal red, lemongrass, cream and champagne for the Christmas wishes cal. Im thinking my chamoagne is kinda light but im going with it. I don't have any brown to do the faces in the same brand of yarn but I am sure I can find a similiar weight and hopefully texture to match in my stash. After watching your video I'm going to see if I can get those clothespins or similiar at our dollar and more store here. I have never used bobbins and want to do this how you are doing yours. I hope you can tell me when you get to the bobbin part how many bobbins you are using for the row you are doing and which colors and how much yarn about that I need to put on each bobbin etc if you don't mind. If it's too much no worries I will figure it out by asking Google maybe lol I work Thurs and Fri so will be behind already lol but oh, well
You definitely can do that. It will just come out larger and will use more yarn. I would use all the same brand of yarn and pick a brand that is easy to get in your area so that if you need to get additional skeins it would be easy to do.
I just ordered the yarn for the Christmas Eve Wishes Blanket! I am so excited to join in the fun with y'all! Thank you for introducing us to this beautiful blanket. 😊💛
