Yes! I was looking for a comparison of Kin-mokusei and Orange Indien and which was a clearer, bright, orange. Ideally I'd also like to see what the Iroshizuku oranges look like alongside, and what Herbin's Orange Soleil looks like as well, but this is a very useful comparison for me even just between the Herbin and Sailor.
Orange is my favourite colour so I always enjoy seeing which orange inks you have in these vids! A couple you may or may not have tried but I don't think I've seen are: Akkerman Oranje Boven Dominant Industry Earl Grey Tea Krishna Halloween Orange Krishna Caramel
I am loving the Noodlers and the Diamine Blaze orange! The two orange inks I use daily and love is the J.Herbin Indien Orange and Diamine Ancient Copper.
After trying about 30 orange ink samples I finally found the only two I really like. They are Sailor Apricot (kin-mokusei is close) and KWZ Grapefruit (a very red orange). Orange really ain't my colour but I refused to give up the search!
Sadly Nathan at Noodler's believes in changing the formula/colour of his inks between batches, so I was lucky that my bottle came from about 6 years ago.
@@hemkeshyeole4630 There are not many that resembles Apache Sunset properties, it's quite unique. I'd say something like Herbin Ambre de Birmanie (albeit more brown) or Diamine Blaze Orange (more brighter orange) does but doesn't have the shading like Apache Sunset has.
Laughing that the Apache Sunset despite being the first ink down still wasnt dry by the end of the video! lol. That ink takes foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeever to dry.
Yeah it's an ink that really doesn't dry, if I'm writing a letter and on one side write with Apache Sunset, I need to put a piece of scrap paper under it once the page is turned over otherwise I'll start to ink a new sheet underneath as Apache Sunset hasn't dried minutes later.
@@PenultimateDave Organic Studios Nitrogen is the one of the very few inks I have found even worse dry times. Ive had OS Nitrogen smudge in journals months after I wrote it.
Hi. I have a quick question. Do you know any orange inks that have at least a medium amount of water resistance? I have R & K SketchINK Carmen, but I'm looking for something else. Thanks!
Most of the IG or Iron Gall inks typically are water resistant, you could try KWZ Mandarin in Iron Gall. You do have to be more careful about leaving these inks inked up in a pen for longer periods though.

I deifnitely might need to try some of those Derek! Akkerman Oranje Boven is one that's been on my list for a long time. Earl Grey Tea sounds great!
your videos are always super useful and well-made! thanks
Glad you like them! Thank you Lorenzo!

Noodler's has just got a rename on a lot of it's inks due to the controversy, Apache Sunset will now become Southwest Sunset.
Kin-mokusei is also my current favorite, but Diamine Blaze Orange comes across nicely in your sample. Also, KWZ Orange is a nice true orange.
KWZ Orange I don't have yet but it's been on my list to pick up for some time.
Very nice demonstration of ink samples ! Will look for your other demos.
Thank you Allen!

Both are great ink colours, Apricot is my favourite between that and Kin-Mokusei, there's slightly more sheen from Apricot over Kin-Mokusei.
Apache sunset is soooooooooooooooooo beautiful!!!! (But mine looks rather yellowish

@@PenultimateDave so that's the reason... I see😂
Try Noodler’s Habanero. Darker than Apache Sunset. Lovely ink.
Strangely I am actually writing with Noodler's Habanero today and am loving it again!
You video are amazing ❤
Thank you!

Looks like fall.
Do you post pictures of your ink swatches anywhere? Iwould like to go back and compare to previous comparisons of each color category.
I haven't yet but it's a very good suggesion and one I'll have to see if I can post on my website at PenultimateDave.com

@@PenultimateDave Thanks for the reply. I'm not too keen on IG, though. I'll keep looking.
