Today is a very sad day. RIP Sarah, you’ll be remembered as the extrovert in Girls Aloud who brought so much happiness and joy to many. Thoughts with Sarah’s family, her friends, Nadine, Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberley and all fans. 😢

Yah better than the one they did on x-factor... but nowadays it’s hard to tell if they are lips synching or not unless we see/hear them talking during their time on stage so we know the mics are live/hot.
TIGERDO100 you can tell it’s not lip syncd because at the start Cheryl is a bit shaky but she improves and when Sarah does one of her runs it just doesn’t sound good. Both of those would’ve been fixed if it was pre recorded

Poison Ivy I think she’s just trying to get publicity after her flopped solo career trying to drag to rest of the girls into it, INCLUDING Sarah. She was the best singer but there is no need to say what she said.

Rest in Peace the incredible talent and personality that was Sarah Harding. She always gave us memorable lines in the group's songs, and her vocals were so underrated with that rock edge that she had.

@@bacchusaureliusNicola is a much better singer than she gets credit for. I've noticed that the only people that praise her are her die-hard fans. She was slept on during the earlier days of GA. I loved her from the second she appeared on Popstars The Rivals. I remember meeting the before going into one of their What Would The Neighbours Say? concerts. Nicola and Cheryl were so nice and chatty with me, don't even know how many the 3 of us hugged each other during that meeting. Nadine and Kimberly were lovely too. Sarah was rude af and just walked away,

jpptubie I can't believe I've never seen this performance before. Kimberley sounded quite shocking on the X Factor live version. I remember watching that one live. Promise and Life Got Cold are my favourites but these girls rarely released a poor song. They were all great tracks and big hits.

I agree, this is probably my favourite recording of the Girls.
Keep this in mind, when they performed the song on X-Factor, the single was released only after 3 days. On the Royal Variety show they were basically in "cruise control mode" which they had a couple years of practice for the song. I've seen their Out Of Control tour on BluRay and they sound great!

Nadine is the only one with a voice fit enough for recording music. Cheryl is the personality/heart/dancer of the group though and made it that way around.

I’ve never been a fan of boy/girl “groups” but there was something about Girls Aloud that was different, the songs are so much better than their competition. No wonder they lasted so long, looking forward to the reunion in memory of Sarah next year ❤❤

2012, ten years ago! Has anybody done this kinda thing as well in the last decade? oh yeah and I think they're singing live. Maybe a trick or two going on, but singing in front of all those people who can begrudge them any kind of help! So good.
How was 2012 that long ago? It feels like yesterday- this was definitely the best royal variety- not just because of the girls singing, but in terms of the overall variety, the comedy and entertainment was very good and it just felt like the most eventful one- the Queen’s presence really made it feel that more special- you compare the 2012 Royal Variety Show to the 2022 one and and there’s no comparison at all
