- I wanted to show all you beautiful MFers how these affordable Amazon nail products soaked off.
First, the $6 Born Pretty acrylic kit continues to blow my mind, it applied beautifully, lasted beautifully AND soaked off beautifully too. I still haven't found anything from born pretty that I don't like or that doesn't impress me. It's been one of my favorite brands for several years now and they definitely continue to get better and better with each new product. THIS KIT WAS $6 WHEN I BOUGHT IT but it is now $9 after a 15% off coupon but even at that price its worth every penny.
Second, we have the Arousar $10 poly gel kit that I bought off of Amazon. I love this brand and have used several of their products, so I was confused by this because I have never had problems removing them, but these were so incredibly hard to soak off. It took over an hour and I only had 4 nails that needed to be removed. The only thing I can think of is that the glow powder in these might make them extra hard or I got a bad batch maybe? It might have removed better had I used a soak off bowl with warm water, so I'll have to give that a try next time. Or I will just use a peel off base coat when I use them again.

I think that polygel formulation has a higher proportion of acrylic and that's why it's so hard to soak off. It's such a push-me-pull-you because I looooove the polygel that sets up hard and is seemigly immune to dings and wear but uggghhh the removal. I did that once and moved on to another brand. I'd rather change my nails out easily. :D
Yes! I would think maybe it has more of the gel in it, if it was a higher mix of acrylic, it would almost soak off easier. And it's odd because I have A LOT of other poly gels from this company and none of them are this hard to remove so maybe an off batch or something. But I am the same way, I like to be able to take them off and move on to the next ones. I'll probably just use a peel off base next time I use these because they are sooo pretty and now I know these glow in the dark ones are super hard to remove so I can do different prep next time. Yes, Target is where I got that one and then I just refill it but I'm sure you can buy the push tops on amazon that will work for any bottles. Xoxo

I love your videos & your tattoos too, what kind of dust collector do you use, I have one from MelodySusie & I find it doesn't work well, I saved my pennies for it & do not like it, so disappointed lol
I haven't tried the melodysusie one but this little one works so well. Before this one I had bought one from L'UGX that i absolutely loved and used for years before it stopped working and it is on the more expensive side so I just looked around and took a chance and am happy I did! This one is from Saviland. I got it off of amazon a few years ago but I'm pretty sure they still sell this one. I can look and then link it for you if you want? I love that its smaller so I can put it away in a drawer and it doesn't take up a lot of space. And it's not super loud, I mean none of them are quiet but with this one being so compact it's not loud at all.

Great video my lovely but have to ask have you tried peel off basecoat? The makartt one is sturdy , im super heavy handed so had to find one that would last until i was ready to remove them lol❤😊
Oh yeah, I used the makartt one for a while! Its very good. I use the GAOY one right now but I kind of go back and forth just showing things I've done over the years. I do no prep especially when I'm trying new things that I want to see how they would last without a peel off base. Gives me an idea of how it will hold on to the nail plate. Hi. New to your channel. Been doing my own nails for about a yr. I learned I prefer the Jello(2) oil remover. However, ordering it is a pain! I saw Makartt came with their own remover. Have you tried it? If so, thoughts? It would be easier to order it and faster shipping so just wondering. I haven’t seen many reviews so I’m hesitant on making a purchase. And returning packages are still a pain just bc I’m lazy😂
Makartt's peel off base is very good. I used it for a long time, right now Im using the GAOY brand peel off base it's very very good too!! I don't think you'll be disappointed with the makartt one! The shipping is why I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, that's definitely a huge selling point for me, so I understand wanting to be able to get it a little easier. Thank you for being here.
