    I'm so glad that it looks like Rick Dyer is living comfortably, and I'm ecstatic that I'm able to watch a fairly recent interview with one of the minor gods of gaming.

    I have no idea how you got a hold of him, but I'm glad you did. This man is one of my heroes. I saw DL and Space Ace as a little kid, and they changed my life. God bless you for the wonderful Daphne emulator as well.

    Wow. Hidden gem on RUclips. Was wondering if he’s still on north county San Diego. I know RDI was in Carlsbad / Leucadia.

    I think the first text-adventure, both original text-only, and then later with graphics, was simply called "Adventure" ("Adventureland?") by Scott Adams (same title as the Atari 2600 / VCS game). He then had a whole series of 20 or 30...or more!
    I like to joke that there WAS a version of Dragon's Lair for the VCS...and it was called *"Adventure!"* ;-P
