Great review and good info! You steered me in the right direction last year with your recommendation of Kifaru. I was running a pack from another hunting clothing manufacturer but I had issues staying upright with elk quarters if I started leaning too much. Since the pack was built to articulate with the body, the frame would shift in the belt of the harness system and my load would become top heavy. The Kifaru frame is the most stable pack frame I have ever worn. I love my 44mag on my Tactical frame! Thanks for the advice! Buy once - cry once!
Man...The struggle has been REAL. My first was a Badlands 3500? Been a LONG TIME. Handed that down and used a Eberlestock J107 Dragonfly for many years. Handed that down. Finally, my last will be the Kifaru Stryker XL with camp bag, Sherman Pack, and assorted accessory bags. IMO, it's the Optimus Prime of hunting packs. Cheers
@@ElkShape I only hunt in Washington state, I cant afford to hunt outside of it lol I didnt draw any special hunts this year, fingers crossed for next year.
Mystery Ranch makes a great pack too. I ran a Stone Glacier and a Kuiu Icon Pro 5200 and they both caused a lot of hip pain. The SG is a minimalist pack so there are no pockets for organization other than the lid. You have to buy them separate. I found I didn't care for that and I got a lot of hip pain with the SG. The waist belt on the SG leaves a lot to be desired in my opinion as well. The Kuiu was just too sloppy for me. My wife got a killer discount on MR and the frame is awesome on it and super comfortable, as well as easy to adjust. I sold my SG and bought two packs for the price of it and haven't looked back.
@@ElkShape Hard to justify buying an Kifaru or Exo when my wife gets this crazy discount. Or I should say it is hard to argue with my wife about getting an Exo when she knows she has a crazy MR discount haha.
I love kifaru stuff I have the quiver which I love it fits and feels as if I’m not even wearing it ! Also own the fishing packs I love salmon fishing and the front packs work great for storing all gear needed when standing in the river all day fishing for coho and salmon . Looking to get a day pack for whitetail hunting I run just a cheap pack now which works good but would rather invest in a better all around day pack for long sits , also for hiking back in salmon fishing etc . I loved your video great info on the different packs . You guys rock !! Can’t wait to see your upcoming tAc video with mfjj and Tim . Thank you for putting out great content always the highlight of my day . 🤘🏻
Great video!! Could you guys do a hang on hunt set up video? I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a novix or a lone wolf system. Or what’s your opinion on them. “I’m a Midwest whitetail hunter haven’t been out west yet key word YET”
Absolutely love all my Kifaru gear. When I bought a pack a few years back I ordered the hunter frame. The frame wasn't gonna make it before September so Kifaru loaned me a frame to use for season. Sent the whole thing back in October and they swapped frames for me and sent it back. Tell me who else would do that? Great quality products and great staff.

My one cousin loves his Reckoning pack (must be discontinued since I don’t see it on the website) and the Stryker XL. I have looked at the 44 Mag online, and not only because I want a 44 Mag revolver but it looks like a good 3-5 day mobile pack. I need a tree saddle gear pack and something to haul out a whitetail. I want to actually do some multiple day public land hunts and arrow my first buck 🦌 and doe this year.
it's all relevant to each individual. if thenwxo fits you well use it. I'd love to use a kifaru Frame and the exo bags. Neve rbwen a fan of the kifaru bag layouts.

I have the kifaru quiver and plan on adding the Rogan pouch to it too. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought about that

have not messed with eberlestock.. most of the other majors though
What is your reasoning for not using a bladder? Can you regulate water intake better using a nalgene?
