Alex Hamilton is sec. Of Treasury
→ will create division and political parties

Hamilton’s Financial Plan
-Developed a financial program to pay off the debt and develop American manufacturing
-Assumption Plan: pay off natl debt and assume war debts of the states
-High tariffs on imports, as well as excise taxes (taxes on specific goods)
→ wanted to see a nation of manufacturers, raise revenue to pay off the debt
-controversial w/ non manufacturers
-created a NATL BANK: would create a stable, healthy economy
→ bunch of controversy (strict v. loose interpretation of the government)
-Hamilton argued that the necessary and proper clause allowed Congress to create the BUS since it was necessary to carry out its enumerated powers.
First Party System
Federalists:
manufacturing/Hamiltonian economic vision
Loose interpretation
strong central govt
Pro england
Jeffersonian Republicans:
Agrarian society
Strict interpretation

Kentucky/Virginia resolutions: these laws passed were against the Constitution (state could nullify fed laws passed by Congress they felt were unconstitutional)

Argument of nullification was used by SC/southerners when they wanted to secede from the Union in the 1830s/40s

I don’t know you but I love you
god bless ur soul u deserve every good thing in this world
I now look for these every time I watch a video
God bless your heart
Seriously, I finally understand everything. Sometimes the textbook just isn't enough.
Asna Rizwan you just didn't use enough effort.
sometimes I don't read the textbook 🤷♀️
@@nedas9855 I've never read the textbook lol
is it ever
The text has too much unimportant info, and I stg i get a headache just reading it
Before I watched these series of videos, I was so stressed out by the chapter quizzes we had about the content of American Pageant (like I barely got half of the points of each quiz) And then someone in my class told me that your videos did a good job summarizing each chapter. Now I usually watch your video for each chapter about 3 times before the chapter quizzes to preview, to understand and to review the contents. I still read the textbook since it is more detailed, but the videos supplement what I have learned from the book. Recently, I got a pretty good score on my quiz, which inspires my confidence in getting a good grade in APUSH. Anyway, thanks to the videos! And I've telling my friends about them since I got the good score. (English 2nd language😂)
I am super happy I could help! Good luck to you and your classmates!
these videos have brought my grade from a low c to an a and i just wanted to thank you for the hard work you put into these. they truly are helpful and i hope you know they are appreciated!!!
Super happy I could help. Thanks for watching.

I am glad I could help. Good luck!
even though the videos have helped me so much, I still fail the multiple choices questions on our unit testTAT(It's my problem).. do you recommend any prep books for this situation?
Years later and this man is still saving students in Apush

I am so bad at history, and reading the textbook itself is so hard for me and hard to understand and retain. I just watch these videos and everything makes perfect sense, thank you :)

I do in this video ruclips.net/video/Yo4FPrzd3SE/видео.html
these give me such life bless ur soul
holla!
Honestly helped me alot, the book was just so conjested.
thanks to this video i got a 90 on my unit test and a 100 on the quiz (on ch. 10)!!
I tell literally ALL my APUSH friends about you!!!!!
For anyone currently watching this: the second bullet point at 14:16 is WRONG. It was called the Miami Confederacy, which was a part of the larger Western Confederacy, but not the Northwest Confederacy. As a matter of fact the only time the word "Northwest" is used is to refer to their involvement in the "Northwest Wars." I can't speak for everyone's teachers, but I got a question wrong for naming them incorrectly.
Jason Elliott is this explicitly shown in the textbook? I checked the American Pageant but only found some lines like "Little Turtle...regarded the Ohio River as the United States' northwestern, and their own southeastern, border" or the " Miami Confederacy"
Your video rock man keep em comin huge thumbs up
seriously so thankful for your videos!!
fuck off
Whaaaaa...
Mr. Jocz (or whatever your students call you lol) I had a quick question. Do you think if I take notes on your summary of each chapter, then JUST read the textbook, it would be a good method that would help me in both class and the AP test, or do you think I should just take notes on the chapter then watch your video? The reason I ask is that I am a slow reader and the first process is a lot faster for me. Thank you in advance!
Very helpful in terms of not understanding something
not going to lie, the American Pageant textbook reading for this chapter killed my brain cells
SAME
I literally fall asleep while reading this book. Especially since the quizzes are now about 3 or 4 chapters together..
I have my final Tomorrow and I wasn’t about to READ thanks 😂😂
Thank you. Seriously.
I am still falling the multiple choice questions... why is this... when I answer them I fell as if I get the right
I'm confused. How would assuming national debts help speculators, and how would creating a national bank be in favor of the wealthy? Are they giving interest over time?
Imagine if the 12th amendment was never added and Trump had to be VP to Biden. Thattttt would be interesting to say the least.
I’m abt to have an assessment tmrw ty bro
Aye bro it went good great job
glad it went well. keep up the great work
I'm going to start watching your videos , ur videos look like their going to be understood, are u AP history or something? Keep up the good work.😊😀
+Veronica Hernandez I teach all sort of social studies classes.
THIS HELPED ME SOO MUCH!
Insert happy face!
This is such a blessing 🔑
^^^^^ thank you!
