I know Mr. Ed Collins who led the effort to save this theatre 50 years ago. This Page organ was built in Lima, Ohio. Two Page organs came to California, one is in Avalon in the theatre and 3 ranks of chests of the other Page is in my home being played daily.

No musical instrument can capture/express the spectrum of human emotions better than the theater pipe organ. Imagine how excited little kids would get as the console rose up from the pit and the musical prelude to the silent movie would begin. Ima send a donation and put hearing this organ on the bucket list.

Exquisitely played by a fine musician. Thank you again Mark. Someone recently said ~play what you like and people will enjoy your playing. That thought came to mind while listening. It's a very smooth and sweet sounding organ.

....no new music. You do have a problem Mark......you are an anachronism..which is fine. But you really are. The people that remember this music are all dead, and the tail-enders like me are nearly dead. A left handed compliment no doubt.
Even champagne music is out of favor. I’m sure you’ve found your place. I did a job for David Packard on the San Jose Fox theatre. He had the pipe organ and the whole theatre restored and added a pipe organ to the front loggia entrance hall.
Your technique is flawless. You are so good that you embody old Hollywood and all it’s passed down heritage......it’s as if you are channeling the past.
    I’m hooked!

Since I first heard you play on the Chaminade H S organ in Mineola, NY all those years ago your talent continues to amaze me. To know that a younger generation will keep the spirit and music of the theatre pipe organ alive and well in the coming decades warms my heart. Thanks so much for this wonderful concert. Hopefully things can get back to some sort of normalcy this year.

I wasn't aware that this wonderful old movie palace still existed and in such great condition. Mark is so talented, too young to remember when going to the movies was as much about the theatre as the film. However he clearly has both talent and fascination for the golden age, best of luck to him :-)

Mark, what a beautiful selection of music and from a theatre I know and glad they saved it. I got hooked on theatre organ in the 70's when I was introduced to the Paramount Music Palace on E. Washington street in Indianapolis. I'm from Noblesville and now reside in NE Tennessee, but still listen to ATOS radio and visit the Paramount in Brisral. I have noticed Carma and other organs that I am enjoying so much. Thanks for your wonderful talent on them!!

I’d love to play this one sometime. I think we have around 6 theater organs in Indiana, and so far, I’ve only played 3 of them. Thanks for sharing Mark’s wonderful talent on this amazing sound machine!

What a beautiful theatre: the perfect setting for an organ like this, and music like this. The commentary was also very helpful. I'm also a devotee of musical theatre. I'm from Australia, and we have some theatre organs preserved in cinemas (mostly by Theatre and Organ Society of Australia), notably Capri in Adelaide (owned by Tosa). A highlight of a trip to San Francisco was the opening organ at Castro Theater.

Mark I've never heard you play or known of you before but I'm completely in awe of your marvelous talent and playing skill with the organ. It is a rarely gifted person who is able to access the heart and soul of the organ especially the theater organ and enable it to really sing a full throated song as you do so musically and with such refinement! I'm very awe struck by you and your playing and I wanted you to know. If only I could know such a beautiful person like you personally! I'm also a musician and organist and it is so gratifying to find someone who can really make the organ sing and with all of it's resources. Keep up the good work and may I also tell you that it helps that you are such a very handsome and good looking guy!

The acoustics in that theater make it seem as if the pedals are sustained until the next pedal is played!!!
