Hi Alycia. I'm so glad to hear that the jacket turned out ok. I'm not a know-it-all but I grew up out West and my family is involved with furs, leathers, trapping for centuries. Actually anything that involves meat, ha ha!! Yes I can't wait to visit that location. It's driving on the 401 that I don't like.
Hi Alycia. Instead of washing the clothes with tags why don't you steam them with a steamer instead and then you don't need to remove the tag. T-shirts that have the stamped on graffic should never go in the dryer. Please do not wash that leather racing jacket. Leather and water do not like each other. Air it out really well and turn inside-out. I find cold air works really good. You can even put it in the freezer. Unfortunately after leather gets that old stale smell it is so difficult to remove, but don't wash it. My lessons that I have learnt and remembered that I'm passing along to you. I still need to try that place, it looks amazing.
Hey Sherry! Thanks for the tips!! I actually already put the jacket in the wash on a cold gentle cycle. It's not real leather so I wasn't too worried and it came out perfectly fine! I've been letting it air out since and the smell is almost completely gone 🙏. And yes, I'd highly recommend visiting this thrift store when you get the chance! 😊
